Tanium has achieved ENS Alta certification for its SaaS offering, Tanium Cloud, enabling the company to support Spain's most security-sensitive public sector organizations and regulated industries. The certification validates the platform against one of Europe's most rigorous cybersecurity frameworks and strengthens Tanium's position in supporting compliance, risk management, and autonomous IT operations.
Tanium announced that its cloud-based Autonomous IT platform has achieved ENS Alta certification, the highest security classification under Spain's Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS) framework.
The certification is required for technology providers serving Spain's most sensitive public sector environments, including government agencies, critical infrastructure operators, and organizations delivering essential services.
Independent validation was conducted by the Centro Criptológico Nacional (CCN), confirming that Tanium Cloud satisfies the extensive technical, operational, and organizational security controls defined by the national framework.
"As someone who grew up in Spain, this certification carries real meaning for me beyond the commercial milestone. ENS Alta certification defines which platforms can be trusted with the most sensitive public sector environments and I'm proud Tanium meets this standard," said Pedro Diaz, chief revenue officer at Tanium. "For Spanish public sector organizations and essential service operators, this means they can now deploy the Tanium Autonomous IT Platform knowing it has been independently validated at the highest level of the national framework. Spain is a strategically important and growing market for us, and this certification accelerates our ability to serve the organizations that keep critical infrastructure running, with the real-time visibility, autonomous execution and audit-ready compliance evidence their ENS programs demand.”
ENS compliance is mandatory for Spanish public sector organizations and has become an increasingly important benchmark for regulated private-sector businesses.
The certification arrives as European cybersecurity regulations continue evolving through initiatives such as NIS2 and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), prompting many organizations to seek vendors capable of supporting multiple compliance requirements through a unified platform.
According to Tanium, its Autonomous IT Platform enables organizations to consolidate compliance activities for ENS, NIS2, and DORA while reducing operational complexity and minimizing reliance on multiple security tools.
The CCN assessment evaluated Tanium across a broad range of cybersecurity controls, including asset management, cryptography, access control, incident response, business continuity, system integrity, and supply chain security.
For organizations operating under ENS requirements, Tanium says the certification delivers several operational advantages, including faster compliance reporting, centralized audit evidence, and real-time visibility across enterprise environments.
Using a single management console, organizations can generate compliance evidence that traditionally required extensive manual data collection from multiple systems, helping reduce audit preparation time and administrative effort.
Beyond regulatory compliance, ENS Alta certification provides independent validation of Tanium's security architecture for organizations managing critical infrastructure and essential services.
The evaluation also examined software development practices, operational procedures, and cryptographic implementation, providing additional assurance for security-conscious buyers evaluating enterprise endpoint management and autonomous IT platforms.
The certification further strengthens Tanium's presence in Spain while supporting organizations seeking secure, real-time IT operations in increasingly regulated digital environments.
Tanium is the Autonomous IT company. In an era where AI is accelerating both innovation and risk, Tanium gives every IT and security operator the real-time intelligence, agentic decision-making and autonomous execution to move from intent to outcome — without tool-switching, manual handoffs or deep platform expertise required. Tanium Atlas, the company's autonomous operating system, puts the full depth of the Tanium Autonomous IT Platform behind every operator — giving a single person the data, guidance and reach to accomplish what once required an entire team.
