Versa has been recognized as the global leader in the SD-WAN industry by Frost & Sullivan in its latest Frost Radar™ for SD-WAN Infrastructure 2025 report, outscoring eight major competitors—including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and others—on both the Innovation Index and Growth Index.

Frost & Sullivan’s annual Frost Radar™ for SD-WAN Infrastructure 2025 report positions Versa as the top performer in the global SD-WAN market. The analysis evaluated nine leading vendors and placed Versa highest on both the Innovation Index and Growth Index, ahead of competitors such as Cisco, Citrix, Ericsson, Fortinet, HPE Aruba, Nuage Networks (Nokia), Palo Alto Networks, and VeloCloud/Arista.
“Versa’s integrated platform architecture, where all networking and security functions operate in a single software stack with multitenancy, is a distinctive advantage in the SD-WAN and SASE landscape,” the report states. Frost & Sullivan points to a clear market shift toward unified, platform-based models that converge networking, security, and cloud capabilities.
Over the past five years, the SD-WAN sector has seen significant acquisition activity as traditional networking vendors incorporated startup innovations. In contrast, Versa has sustained its leadership through continuous, focused innovation and a differentiated software-centric approach.
The report authors emphasize Versa’s unified platform as a strategic differentiator, enabling simplified policy management and consolidated visibility across network operations centers (NOCs) and security operations centers (SOCs). They express confidence that this approach will support Versa’s continued market leadership.
Versa’s momentum is underpinned by a robust ecosystem, including partnerships with more than 1,000 channel partners and 180 communication service providers—seven of which rank among the world’s top 10—along with thousands of enterprise deployments worldwide.
Frost & Sullivan’s Global Network Services Survey from early 2025 revealed that 39% of organizations view SD-WAN as the most critical element in their SASE strategies. At the time, 42% of respondents had implemented or were deploying their first SD-WAN project, with another 28% planning adoption within two years. In comparison, only 27% had deployed or were deploying full SASE solutions. The analysts concluded that while SASE continues to gain traction, SD-WAN remains the foundational technology for many organizations transitioning to integrated networking and security architectures.
Frost & Sullivan’s Growth Index measures a company’s historical growth performance, strategic vision, pipeline development, and effectiveness in sales and marketing execution. The Innovation Index evaluates the ability to create globally applicable products and solutions that evolve with customer needs and market dynamics.
“We are proud to be recognized as the industry leader in secure SD-WAN by Frost & Sullivan,” said Dan Maier, Versa’s Chief Marketing Officer. “This reinforces what our customers see every day: a unified, AI-driven platform that brings networking and security together, simplifies operations, and helps organizations scale SD-WAN and SASE with confidence. While others are stitching together acquisitions and separately developed products, Versa offers a fully integrated, software-centric platform that delivers security and networking without compromise.”
