Bitdefender, a European-based cybersecurity leader, has formed a strategic partnership with secunet, a specialist in digital sovereignty and protection for critical environments. This collaboration enables GravityZone, Bitdefender's unified platform for cybersecurity, risk-management, and compliance, to be hosted in the sovereign cloud of SysEleven, a secunet company, ensuring data residency, control, and processing within Germany and the EU in accordance with regulatory requirements.

The partnership addresses growing concerns over digital sovereignty, particularly amid uncertainties regarding U.S.-based companies' potential compliance with government data requests. By hosting GravityZone in SysEleven's certified OpenStack Cloud in Germany, Bitdefender enables EU organizations to maintain full control over sensitive security data without backdoors. This is crucial for industries like financial services, healthcare, education, critical infrastructure, energy, and manufacturing, which face strict data sovereignty mandates.

At the heart of the partnership is GravityZone, providing end-to-end coverage across the attack chain with endpoint protection (EPP), endpoint detection and response (EDR), extended detection and response (XDR), and cloud-native security. Hosted on SysEleven's BSI-certified cloud, which meets ISO 27001, IT-Grundschutz, and C5 standards, the platform processes endpoint security events, telemetry, detections, and configuration data exclusively within the EU. This setup extends seamlessly to Bitdefender's Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, offering deep contextual insights.
