Hexnode UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) has announced a series of significant platform updates designed to strengthen compliance frameworks, automate IT workflows, and improve security event management for modern, distributed enterprises. The enhancements focus on providing IT and security teams with greater automation, visibility, and control across a diverse endpoint ecosystem.

Quick Intel

  • Hexnode UEM strengthens compliance with a new conditional access framework and CIS benchmarks.

  • New integrations with Microsoft Intune and Okta Device Trust enhance zero-trust capabilities.

  • Automation features include "Alert profiles" for targeted notifications and streamlined Windows enrollment.

  • Offline patch management supports organizations in low-bandwidth environments.

  • A new centralized Incidents tab consolidates security events for unified visibility.

  • The updates reinforce Hexnode's focus on transforming endpoint management complexity into operational clarity.

Advanced Compliance and Zero-Trust Access

A key enhancement is the advancement of Hexnode's zero-trust capabilities through an enhanced compliance framework. This allows administrators to create customized, multi-condition compliance checks based on device health, network status, and ownership models. To enforce access policies, Hexnode now integrates as a third-party device compliance partner with Microsoft Intune and with Okta Device Trust for conditional access. Furthermore, the introduction of CIS Benchmark-aligned compliance features for macOS and Windows helps organizations apply industry-standard security baselines consistently.

Automating IT Operations at Scale

To reduce manual workloads, Hexnode has expanded its automation toolset. New "Alert profiles" enable precise, targeted notifications for critical device, user, or policy events, improving response times. For device provisioning, Windows Enrollment Profiles streamline onboarding by allowing IT to send setup profiles via email/SMS, automate device grouping, and personalize configurations from day one. Support for the Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) automates password management for Windows devices, creating and rotating strong, unique credentials to reduce attack risks.

Supporting Diverse Operational Environments

Recognizing the challenges of remote work, Hexnode has enhanced its offline patch management for Windows and macOS. This capability uses distributed server sites to host updates locally, allowing devices in bandwidth-constrained locations to retrieve patches over a local network instead of taxing internet connections.

Centralized Visibility for Security Operations

A new Incidents tab within the UEM console acts as a centralized hub, consolidating critical security events from apps, users, endpoints, and integrations into a single view. This is strategically designed to bridge endpoint management with security operations, providing a foundation for integration with Hexnode's Extended Detection and Response (XDR) offering.

"Modern enterprises operate at scale and need security and management to be effortlessly integrated," said Apu Pavithran, CEO and Founder of Hexnode. "Hexnode's motto is about transforming complexity into clarity, equipping IT and security teams with automation and deep visibility to secure every device."

These updates underscore Hexnode's commitment to evolving its UEM platform into a core component of enterprise security and IT operations.
