ValorC3 Introduces Managed Backup for SaaS Data Protection

ValorC3 Data Centers has announced the general availability of Backup as a Service (BaaS), a managed data protection solution designed to help organizations secure SaaS applications and business-critical workloads. The offering addresses a common misconception that SaaS providers automatically back up customer data, emphasizing the shared responsibility model for cloud security.

The service provides immutable backups that cannot be modified or deleted, allowing businesses to recover information following accidental deletion, data corruption, or ransomware attacks.

"Protecting data is the responsibility of the customer," said Justin Fox, Senior Vice President of Product and Operations at ValorC3. "ValorC3's BaaS solution closes that gap and gives customers a viable way to protect their data from real-time threats that could lead to rapid loss of critical information."

Immutable Backups and End-to-End Managed Recovery

ValorC3 manages the entire backup lifecycle by configuring backup jobs, continuously monitoring performance, testing recovery processes, and developing customer-specific protection strategies. The service leverages ValorC3's Veeam Gold Service Provider status and operates on Veeam Data Cloud to deliver enterprise-grade backup and recovery capabilities.

Because backups are immutable, organizations retain a secure recovery point even after ransomware incidents, helping minimize downtime and preserve business continuity.

"We close the gap, and we own it," Fox said. "We configure it, we monitor it, we test the recovery. Our customers get protection that works without having to think about it."

Supporting Business Continuity Across Cloud and On-Premises Environments

Backup as a Service protects SaaS applications, on-premises infrastructure, and cloud workloads through a single managed solution. The service enables organizations to restore clean copies of business data following incidents that SaaS vendors may not recover, reducing operational disruption and helping prevent financial losses and reputational damage.

For Valor Cloud customers, the company includes 14 days of backup retention by default with instance-based plans, while extended retention options and additional backup services are available to meet varying business requirements.

The launch reflects growing demand for managed cybersecurity and cloud backup solutions as enterprises continue expanding their reliance on SaaS platforms and hybrid IT environments.
