SealPath has announced the availability of its Monitoring Dashboard for organizations securing CAD drawings and engineering documentation with Microsoft Purview. The web-based dashboard gives security, IT, and engineering teams centralized visibility into how protected CAD files are accessed and used after they are shared internally or externally.
The solution is designed for businesses that regularly distribute technical drawings, product designs, and intellectual property to employees, suppliers, contractors, and project partners while maintaining control over sensitive information.
The new dashboard records key activities performed on protected CAD documents, including file opening, copying, printing, exporting, and access attempts blocked by security policies.
Administrators can filter activity by user, organization, operation type, status, and time period while reviewing metrics such as total operations, active users, accessed documents, and permission denials. The platform also provides detailed work session records containing user information, applied security policies, permissions, device and IP details, session duration, and chronological activity timelines.
Organizations can export monitoring data in CSV or Excel formats for auditing, compliance reporting, and security analysis.

The latest release also enhances usability within AutoCAD environments. Protected drawings can now be opened within the same AutoCAD instance, providing a workflow that more closely mirrors the standard AutoCAD experience while improving operational efficiency.
Additionally, administrators can apply copy-and-paste restrictions at the individual file level, preventing unauthorized transfer of content between engineering drawings when permissions prohibit those actions.
