The collaboration between Resecurity and AfricaCERT, formalized in August 2025, establishes a framework for long-term cooperation to bolster cybersecurity across Africa. By integrating Resecurity’s advanced cyber threat intelligence (CTI) platforms, Context™ and Risk™, AfricaCERT gains tools to monitor and mitigate cyber risks affecting public and private sectors. This partnership aligns with Africa’s growing digitization, addressing the urgent need for robust cyber defenses.
Resecurity will provide AfricaCERT with access to its Context™ and Risk™ platforms, enabling real-time detection of information leaks and malicious activities targeting African digital assets. “Our main objective is to monitor, in real time, data related to information leaks and threats specifically targeting African countries,” said Mr. Kodzo Gadzekpo Adomey, Operations Manager at AfricaCERT. “Through this collaboration, we gain visibility into global threat actors and campaigns that are impacting our region, and we strengthen our ability to coordinate international responses in a timely and effective manner.” These platforms aggregate data from deep and dark web sources, malware telemetry, and exposed repositories, empowering proactive threat management.
The agreement extends beyond technology, emphasizing capacity building through training, workshops, and joint exercises. “We are honored to work alongside AfricaCERT in building stronger cyber defense capabilities throughout the continent,” said Shawn Loveland, Chief Operating Officer of Resecurity. “This partnership demonstrates our shared commitment to promoting proactive, intelligence-led cybersecurity and advancing digital trust in the African region to support the continent’s digitization.” Both organizations will collaborate on international cybersecurity events, share insights on cybercrime trends, and coordinate responses to transnational threats.
AfricaCERT will support Resecurity’s outreach through communications and joint participation in cybersecurity programs, fostering a resilient cyber ecosystem. Regular strategy meetings will ensure adaptability to evolving threats, with clear governance on confidentiality and intellectual property. This partnership positions AfricaCERT and Resecurity as leaders in safeguarding Africa’s digital infrastructure, supporting financial systems, and protecting citizen data.
This strategic alliance marks a pivotal step in enhancing Africa’s cybersecurity landscape, combining Resecurity’s cutting-edge technology with AfricaCERT’s regional expertise to drive digital trust and resilience across the continent.
