QinetiQ US has appointed Scott McGleish to strengthen its executive team and accelerate expansion in key growth areas, particularly within defense and national security. “Scott brings exceptional leadership and strategic vision that will accelerate our growth trajectory,” said Tom Vecchiolla, President and Chief Executive of QinetiQ US. “His unique combination of international business acumen, deep customer understanding, and proven ability to build high-performing teams positions us to expand our footprint while deepening partnerships across the defense and national security community.”
McGleish brings over three decades of senior executive experience in aerospace and defense, specializing in business development and profit-and-loss management. Most recently, he served as President and General Manager of Weibel Scientific North America, where he led operations, strategy, and business growth for instrumentation and surveillance radars. His prior roles include senior positions at Raytheon Technologies and Booz Allen Hamilton, where he developed expertise in global market development and strategic partnerships through multiple international assignments.
Before his industry career, McGleish served 21 years as a U.S. Army Special Forces Officer and Non-Commissioned Officer, leading combat operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. This experience provides him with a deep understanding of customer requirements and mission priorities, aligning with QinetiQ US’s focus on delivering transformative solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and Intelligence Community.
