Panasonic Information Systems Co. Ltd. has adopted the CyberArk Identity Security Platform to secure privileged access to thousands of servers across the Panasonic Group. This initiative supports the company's digital transformation by modernizing privileged access management and enhancing cybersecurity.

Modernizing Privileged Access Management

As part of the Panasonic Transformation (PX) initiative, Panasonic Information Systems addressed inefficiencies in manual privileged access management across thousands of Windows and Linux servers. The adoption of CyberArk Privileged Access Manager centralizes and automates access, reducing administrative burdens. “One of the key priorities of our digital transformation is strengthening our security defenses globally,” said Hiroshi Yagi, Director, Professional Services Department, Platform Services Division, Panasonic Information Systems Co., Ltd.

Enhancing Visibility and Audit Trails

CyberArk’s platform provides Panasonic Information Systems with detailed visibility into server access, including who accessed which server, when, and what operations were performed. This audit trail capability improves post-incident investigations and ensures accountability across the organization’s IT environment.

Automating Credential Security

The solution hides credentials and passwords from users, automatically granting and rotating them within CyberArk. This automation minimizes the risk of credential misuse and aligns with modern security practices, ensuring only authorized identities access critical systems.

Strengthening Cyber Resilience

By standardizing security policies and securing privileged access, Panasonic Information Systems enhances its cyber resilience against identity-centric attacks. “Threat actors today continue to develop new identity-centric attacks, necessitating a shift in how privileged access is secured,” said Mitsuro Kakizawa, Regional Director, Japan at CyberArk.
