Netskope has deepened its collaboration with Microsoft to deliver robust data security across enterprise cloud and AI environments. By integrating Netskope One’s unified data security capabilities with Microsoft Purview, Sentinel, Security Copilot, and Entra SSE, the partnership enables seamless policy enforcement, enhanced visibility, and advanced threat protection. This strategic alliance empowers organizations to maximize their Microsoft investments while ensuring comprehensive security for SaaS, IaaS, endpoints, and network traffic.

Quick Intel

  • Netskope integrates with Microsoft Purview for unified data security across cloud and AI environments.

  • Extends Microsoft Purview DLP to detect sensitive data in non-Microsoft ecosystems, including AI apps.

  • Enables consistent policy enforcement across SaaS, IaaS, endpoints, and network traffic.

  • Netskope named Microsoft Cybersecurity ISV of the Year in April 2025.

  • Public Preview of Purview integration launched in May 2025, available via Azure Marketplace.

  • Netskope leads in SSE and DLP, recognized by Gartner, Forrester, and IDC in 2025.

Unified Data Security with Microsoft Purview

Netskope’s integration with Microsoft Purview enhances data discovery and classification beyond Microsoft’s ecosystem. The Netskope One platform detects sensitive data in AI transactions, unsanctioned cloud storage, social media, and form submissions. This capability ensures organizations maintain visibility and control over data across diverse environments. As Siva VRS, Wipro Vice President & Global Business Unit Head of Cyber Security, noted, "Large enterprises are strengthening their security strategies by integrating insights from diverse tools. Netskope's seamless integration with Microsoft Purview tackles these evolving challenges head-on, enhancing data protection and ensuring classified information remains secure."

Streamlined Policy Enforcement

The partnership unifies data security and governance by allowing Microsoft Purview DLP policies to be configured once and applied across endpoints, SaaS, IaaS, and network traffic. Netskope One’s advanced security controls reinforce these policies, ensuring consistent compliance and real-time threat mitigation. This streamlined approach reduces operational complexity and accelerates response times for security teams managing enterprise-wide data protection.

Industry-Leading SSE and DLP Capabilities

Netskope’s expertise in Security Service Edge (SSE) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is widely recognized. The company has been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SSE every year and ranked among the top two vendors in all six Use Cases in the 2025 Gartner Critical Capabilities report. Additionally, Netskope was recognized as a Leader in the 2025 Forrester Wave for SSE and the IDC MarketScape for DLP, solidifying its position as a trusted partner for enterprise security.

Strategic Microsoft Integrations

Beyond Purview, Netskope integrates with Microsoft Sentinel and Security Copilot to optimize security, performance, and user experience within the Microsoft Security Suite. In November 2024, Microsoft selected Netskope as its first partner for an open SSE ecosystem, embedding Netskope One SSE into the Microsoft Entra Suite. This integration provides a native SSE experience for Microsoft applications while extending advanced threat and data protection to non-Microsoft environments. John Martin, Chief Product Officer at Netskope, stated, "We are thrilled that Microsoft has again selected Netskope as a key integration partner for important security initiatives."

Commitment to Customer Flexibility

The expanded partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering flexible, best-in-class security solutions. Rudra Mitra, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft Purview, emphasized, "We choose to partner with Netskope, a recognized industry leader, to jointly provide the best customer experience possible, helping protect data wherever it goes." The Public Preview of the Purview integration, launched in May 2025, is now accessible to all Microsoft customers via the Azure Marketplace, with advanced SSE for Entra slated for public preview soon.

This collaboration between Netskope and Microsoft equips enterprises with the tools to navigate complex data security challenges. By combining Netskope’s leadership in SSE and DLP with Microsoft’s robust security suite, organizations can achieve unparalleled visibility, compliance, and protection across their cloud and AI-driven environments.
