MyVest, a provider of enterprise wealth management technology, has completed new SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 certifications for its wealth management platform. The latest certifications reinforce the company's commitment to safeguarding customer data, maintaining regulatory compliance, and aligning with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) cybersecurity framework.
MyVest announced the successful completion of its latest System and Organization Controls (SOC) certifications, demonstrating the effectiveness of its security controls for protecting customer data and supporting compliance requirements within the financial services industry.
The certifications include SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2, covering all five SOC Trust Services Principles: Security, Privacy, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Availability. These certifications validate that MyVest has implemented and maintained comprehensive administrative, technical, and physical safeguards across its wealth management platform.
As enterprise wealth management firms continue to prioritize cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, MyVest's latest certifications provide independent validation of the company's operational controls and security practices.
The platform has continuously undergone independent audits, with MyVest publicly announcing its SOC certifications since 2019. The company also stated that it continues to pursue additional security controls and certifications as part of its long-term commitment to evolving information security standards.
"As a platform that powers enterprise wealth management firms, this certification validates that our company maintains administrative, technical and physical safeguards across all systems that handle sensitive customer data with integrity, across critical users including advisors, portfolio managers, traders, operations, compliance, and executives," says Josh Moats, MyVest's Chief Information Officer. "This new certification confirms our systems operate securely and reliably in practice, enabling teams to confidently use our company in production environments."
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC certifications provide independent assurance that service organizations have established effective controls for protecting customer information and maintaining secure operational processes.
The latest audit was conducted by Prescient Security, a provider of security and compliance attestation services for B2B and SaaS organizations. MyVest noted that its SOC 3 summary report is available to customers and partners upon request under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
The latest certifications further strengthen MyVest's position as a technology provider supporting enterprise wealth management firms with secure, compliant, and reliable digital infrastructure.
