  • Caspia and Siemens collaborate to enhance security in Questa One platform.

  • Integrates Caspia’s GenAI security for advanced SoC verification.

  • Targets AI-driven cyberattack vulnerabilities in hardware root of trust.

  • Features CODAx, SVx, and PFx tools for comprehensive security checks.

  • Boosts productivity with AI-powered, scalable verification solutions.

  • Available in June 2025 to harden SoC designs against attacks.

Addressing AI-Driven Security Threats

The rapid growth of AI applications has increased the value of training and application data, making SoC hardware roots of trust vulnerable to sophisticated cyberattacks. Caspia’s collaboration with Siemens integrates its industry-leading generative AI security technology into Questa One, enabling robust verification to harden SoC designs against these threats.

Caspia’s AI-Powered Security Tools

Caspia’s security verification platform includes three key components:

  • CODAx: A static checking tool using security-trained large language models to identify and fix over 150 potential security flaws in early design RTL.

  • SVx: A generative AI enhancement for formal verification, creating security assertions to eliminate vulnerabilities using a threat model-driven approach.

  • PFx: An AI-powered validation platform leveraging co-simulation and emulation to verify attack resistance with real-world scenarios.

These tools enhance Questa One’s ability to deliver comprehensive security verification for complex SoC designs.

Enhancing Questa One’s Verification Capabilities

Siemens’ Questa One combines connectivity, data-driven approaches, and AI scalability to streamline integrated circuit (IC) verification. “Questa One delivers transformative capabilities to the IC design process to improve total user productivity for design verification,” said Abhi Kolpekwar, vice president & general manager, Digital Verification Technologies, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “Given the rising threat of AI-assisted hardware security breaches, Questa One must also deliver advanced security verification. This collaboration with Caspia allows us to achieve that goal.”

Industry Leadership in Security Verification

“I have been focused on various aspects of cybersecurity for a while now. It is a critical area that needs a lot of attention,” said Dr. Walden Rhines, chairman of the board at Caspia Technologies. “I know the substantial capabilities of Siemens’s EDA software and adding the security platform that Caspia has developed will go a long way to creating the comprehensive solution the industry needs.”

“The industry needs new development flows, enhanced by AI-enabled capabilities that add security verification to these new flows,” said Richard Hegberg, CEO of Caspia Technologies. “I am delighted we share that vision with Siemens Digital Industries Software. The combination of the Questa One smart verification software portfolio and the Caspia security verification platform can substantially improve the robustness and reliability of future AI systems.”

Future-Ready SoC Security

Available in June 2025, this collaboration equips engineering teams with AI-enhanced tools to address the verification productivity gap in complex SoC designs. By integrating Caspia’s security solutions, Questa One ensures robust, scalable, and efficient verification, safeguarding AI-driven systems against emerging cyber threats.
