The partnership strengthens enterprise AI security through Trend Vision One Sovereign and Private Cloud, now certified for Google Cloud Assured Workloads. This enables organizations to secure critical workloads across public, hybrid, and air-gapped on-premise cloud environments while maintaining strict control over sensitive data. “Our long-time partnership with Trend Micro underscores our shared commitment to enterprise-grade security,” said Karan Bajwa, President, Google Cloud Asia Pacific. “By seamlessly extending Google Cloud’s native security with Trend Micro’s specialized defenses, we empower organizations to accelerate their cloud transformation journeys.”
Trend Micro’s solutions, including Trend Vision One and its Sovereign and Private Cloud offerings, are now available on the Google Cloud Marketplace, streamlining deployment for enterprises in highly regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, and government. This flexibility supports compliance with data residency laws, such as the EU’s GDPR and India’s DPDPA, enabling organizations to balance security and digital transformation. “Among hyperscalers, we’ve seen Google Cloud accelerate as the most in tune with real-world demands,” said Kevin Simzer, COO of Trend Micro.
The collaboration introduces ScamCheck, a pioneering app leveraging Google Cloud’s Gemini models via Vertex AI to detect fraudulent SMS and image-based scams in real time. With global cyber fraud losses exceeding $1 trillion annually, ScamCheck addresses personalized cyberattacks exploiting human psychology, reducing the burden on users and minimizing breaches caused by human error. Trend Micro’s Cloud App Security has also seen over 4 million downloads on the Google Workspace Marketplace, reflecting strong enterprise adoption.
The partnership positions Trend Micro and Google Cloud as leaders in the AI-driven cybersecurity market, projected to grow from $31.48 billion in 2025 to $93.75 billion by 2030 at a 24.4% CAGR. By combining Trend Micro’s Vision One platform, which offers endpoint, network, and cloud security, with Google Cloud’s infrastructure, the alliance addresses the 80% of enterprises using multiple cloud providers. The focus on sovereign cloud solutions is particularly critical in emerging markets with evolving regulatory frameworks, such as Southeast Asia, where a multinational bank can now comply with local data laws while leveraging cloud scalability.
