Riverbed, a leader in AIOps and data acceleration, has introduced the Riverbed Data Express Service, a new SaaS solution deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This service enables enterprises to accelerate the movement of massive petabyte-scale datasets up to 10 times faster than traditional solutions, significantly improving time to value and reducing costs for AI model preparation and deployment.

Quick Intel

  • Delivers data transfer speeds up to 10X faster than current industry solutions.

  • Built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with post-quantum cryptography securing data in transit.

  • Includes enterprise-grade controls and optional data mover agents for enhanced security.

  • Addresses challenges in moving data across data centers, edge environments, and public clouds.

  • Reduces data transfer timelines from months to days, enabling faster AI adoption.

  • Achieved 77% year-over-year bookings growth, with general availability planned for Q4 2025.

Accelerating Large-Scale AI Data Transfers

Enterprises are rapidly building large language models that require transferring tens of petabytes of data across various locations. This complex process often delays AI initiatives by months. Riverbed’s Data Express Service solves this by providing industry-leading speed and security, moving data through encrypted VPN tunnels using post-quantum cryptography to protect customer data.

Expert Insights on Speed and Security

Dave Donatelli, CEO of Riverbed, stated, “With today’s announcement of the Riverbed Data Express Service, we will be helping customers overcome one of the biggest barriers to AI adoption—getting the right data to the right location, with industry-leading speed and security.”

Sachin Menon, Vice President, Cloud Engineering at Oracle, said, “Customers are looking for faster, more secure ways to move massive datasets so they can bring AI initiatives to life. With Riverbed Data Express Service deployed on OCI, organizations will be able to accelerate time to value, reduce costs, and help ensure that their data remains protected.”

Chalan Aras, SVP and GM of Riverbed’s Acceleration Business, added, “Speed, security and simplicity are now key driving factors for successful AI outcomes. We’re leveraging over two decades of large-scale data movement expertise to dramatically shrink data transfer timelines and accelerate our customer’s path to competitive advantage in the AI era.”

Meeting Modern AI Infrastructure Needs

Riverbed’s new service supports enterprise AI readiness by addressing core challenges in data transfer. The platform combines high-speed transfer rates with robust security to facilitate efficient, large-scale AI development, thus enabling organizations to innovate confidently and cost-effectively.

Riverbed Data Express Service is slated for general availability in the fourth quarter of 2025, positioning it as a critical enabler for enterprises aiming to optimize their AI data infrastructure.
