HPE announced a broad expansion of its GreenLake cloud portfolio, introducing innovations across virtualization, security, and artificial intelligence. The updates aim to help enterprises modernize IT infrastructure, reduce complexity, and securely accelerate AI outcomes with a flexible hybrid cloud operating platform.
HPE expands GreenLake cloud with major updates to HPE Morpheus Software for virtualization.
New zero-trust security, stretched clusters, and Kubernetes support are coming to HPE Morpheus.
HPE deepens NVIDIA AI integration with HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 Data Intelligence Nodes.
New HPE StoreOnce 5720 & 7700 backup appliances offer ultra-fast data protection.
Confidential Computing advancements with AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA for encrypted AI data & models.
HPE launches CloudPhysics Plus, Cloud Commit, and an enhanced GreenLake Marketplace.
HPE is positioning HPE Morpheus Software as a unified, enterprise-grade alternative in the evolving virtualization market. New capabilities include zero-trust security with software-defined networking (built on HPE Juniper tech), stretched cluster technology for metro-area resilience, and full support for Kubernetes and containerized workloads on its HVM hypervisor. Integrations with HPE Zerto for continuous data protection and Veeam for hypervisor backup are also announced, aiming to reduce VM license costs by up to 90%.
The collaboration with NVIDIA advances on two fronts. For AI data management, the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 Data Intelligence Nodes use an NVIDIA reference design to create an active data layer for AI pipelines. For AI infrastructure, HPE Private Cloud AI now includes NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs across all configurations and offers STIG-hardened, FIPS-enabled NVIDIA AI Enterprise software for air-gapped environments.
New data protection solutions include the HPE StoreOnce 5720 (hybrid) and 7700 (all-flash) backup appliances, the latter boasting up to 300 TB/hour ingest speed for rapid protection of critical workloads. On the security front, HPE is advancing Confidential Computing through partnerships with AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA to keep AI data, models, and operations encrypted end-to-end on HPE Private Cloud AI and ProLiant servers, guarding against insider threats.
HPE is introducing new services to simplify adoption: CloudPhysics Plus (for planning and optimization), Cloud Commit (a simplified purchasing model), and an enhanced GreenLake Marketplace for discovering and deploying solutions. HPE Financial Services is also offering extended financing programs to ease the transition to these new hybrid cloud and storage solutions.
These announcements represent a comprehensive push by HPE to consolidate its position as a full-stack provider for the hybrid cloud era, addressing critical customer concerns around cost, security, resilience, and AI readiness in a single, consumption-based platform.
