As enterprises rapidly adopt AI agents, multicloud environments, and SaaS applications, AvePoint has announced major enhancements to its Confidence Platform, extending its AI data protection capabilities across agentic AI, enterprise applications, and cloud infrastructure. The latest updates introduce expanded agent governance, broader backup and recovery, and additional multicloud protection to help organizations strengthen security, governance, and resilience as AI adoption accelerates.

  • AvePoint expanded its Confidence Platform with new AI agent governance and multicloud data protection capabilities.
  • AgentPulse now supports Microsoft Copilot Studio backup and Salesforce Agentforce visibility.
  • New policy-driven guardrails improve AI agent governance and lifecycle management.
  • Infrastructure protection now includes AWS S3, Azure Kubernetes, and Entra External ID backup.
  • ServiceNow joins AvePoint's expanding SaaS data protection portfolio.
  • The updates also enhance security management tools for managed service providers (MSPs).

AvePoint Extends AI Governance Across Enterprise Environments

AvePoint introduced new capabilities for its Confidence Platform designed to strengthen governance, security, backup, and recovery across AI agents, enterprise applications, and multicloud infrastructure.

According to the company's third annual State of AI Report, 88.4% of organizations experienced at least one AI agent-related security incident during the past year. The new platform enhancements aim to help enterprises close the growing gap between AI adoption and governance by extending consistent security controls wherever organizational data resides.

AgentPulse Expands AI Agent Management

AvePoint's AgentPulse platform has received several enhancements focused on enterprise AI governance.

Organizations can now back up and restore Microsoft Copilot Studio agents directly through AgentPulse, allowing administrators to recover agent configurations, prompts, workflows, orchestration logic, topics, and operational settings to a known-good state.

The platform also introduces visibility into Salesforce Agentforce, enabling organizations to discover, monitor, and manage AI agents across Microsoft, Google, and Salesforce ecosystems through a unified management interface.

In addition, new policy-driven guardrails allow administrators to assign ownership, apply data sensitivity classifications, and enforce governance policies automatically as AI agents are discovered.

"A trust layer only works if it grows as fast as adoption does," said John Peluso, Chief Technology Officer, AvePoint. "Every new agent, app, or cloud source is another place governance has to reach, and that can be a challenge without the right support. AvePoint is continuing to evolve capabilities that allow organizations to use the same playbook and control plane for managing and governing foundational AI no matter the source, platform, or use case."

Broader Data Protection Across Cloud and Enterprise Applications

Beyond AI agents, AvePoint expanded its data protection capabilities across enterprise applications and cloud environments.

The platform now provides enhanced lifecycle management controls for enterprise applications, helping organizations automate application imports, ownership, renewals, and compliance processes while reducing manual administration and minimizing service disruptions.

Infrastructure protection has also expanded with support for:

  • AWS S3 storage
  • Azure Kubernetes environments
  • Microsoft Entra External ID backup

On the SaaS front, AvePoint added ServiceNow to its growing protection portfolio, extending backup and governance capabilities to critical enterprise workflows across IT, HR, and customer service operations.

"The average customer's environment today spans a dozen platforms they didn't have five years ago,” said John Hodges, Chief Product Officer, AvePoint. “Extending protection to ServiceNow, AWS, and Google Cloud means customers get consistent coverage across that sprawl, instead of stitching together a different tool for every new platform they adopt.”

Enhanced Multi-Tenant Operations for Managed Service Providers

AvePoint also introduced new capabilities within the Confidence Platform – Elements Edition, aimed at helping managed service providers (MSPs) improve security, standardization, and operational efficiency across multiple customer environments.

New capabilities include expanded Azure security assessments covering Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes workloads, default multi-factor authentication (MFA) enforcement, CIS Level 2 baseline support, multi-tenant baseline deployment, Azure Virtual Desktop session monitoring, and centralized application lifecycle and configuration management.

These updates are designed to simplify administration while improving security posture and compliance across managed customer environments.

Strengthening Enterprise AI Security

As organizations continue expanding AI deployments across cloud platforms and enterprise applications, AvePoint's latest platform enhancements focus on providing centralized governance, multicloud resilience, and consistent data protection.

The company plans to showcase these capabilities during its upcoming AvePoint Innovates Webinars and at Black Hat USA in Las Vegas, where it will demonstrate updates to its AI agent management and data protection solutions.
