Barracuda Networks, Inc. has launched Barracuda Managed Vulnerability Security, a fully managed service designed to identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities across organizational networks and cloud infrastructure. Announced on June 24, 2025, this solution, powered by Barracuda’s global Security Operations Center (SOC), strengthens security resilience and supports compliance with minimal operational overhead.
Barracuda Managed Vulnerability Security provides comprehensive scanning across endpoints, servers, IoT devices, firewalls, and other network-connected systems. Powered by the BarracudaONE platform, it delivers expert analysis and contextual reporting to uncover vulnerabilities, including those not yet associated with known exploits. “By proactively identifying vulnerabilities, we can better predict the likelihood of an attack, giving both Barracuda and our customers a decisive edge to stop threats before they're exploited and reduce cyber risk,” said Adam Khan, vice president of global security operations at Barracuda.
The service generates detailed, actionable reports, including a prioritized remediation plan and audit summary, enabling organizations to address risks efficiently. By focusing on a top 25 list of critical vulnerabilities, it simplifies remediation compared to traditional tools that produce overwhelming reports. It aligns with regulatory requirements like DORA, NIS2, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS, ensuring audit readiness and compliance. “As an MSP, we tested Barracuda Managed Vulnerability Security with one of our largest critical infrastructure clients that had struggled with other tools, and the results were immediate and impressive,” said Alberto Ramos-Izquierdo, chief executive officer at RIZQ. “Barracuda uncovered serious vulnerabilities in areas the client thought were secure and delivered a clear, prioritized remediation list that was easy to act on.”
Available as a standalone solution or integrated with Barracuda Managed XDR, the service enhances threat detection and response. Managed XDR leverages AI analytics and a 24/7 SOC to prevent breaches, offering a unified security experience when paired with Managed Vulnerability Security. This integration reduces vendor management complexity and accelerates remediation, making it ideal for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and enterprises. “The new Barracuda Managed Vulnerability Security offers an easy and effective way to identify vulnerabilities across our customers' environments,” said Dominik Meier, chief technology officer at Vistasys AG. “All we need to do is register the appliances for vulnerability scanning, and Barracuda's SOC team handles the rest.”
Offered through Barracuda’s global network of resellers and MSPs, the service requires no additional tools or specialized staff, easing the burden on internal teams. Its SOC-backed approach ensures expert-led scanning and reporting, enabling partners to expand security offerings without operational overhead. This makes it a strategic solution for MSPs aiming to deliver compliance-ready, high-value services.
Barracuda Managed Vulnerability Security empowers organizations to proactively manage cyber risks with clarity and efficiency. By combining expert-driven insights, AI-powered analytics, and seamless integration, it positions Barracuda as a leader in simplifying vulnerability management and enhancing cyber resilience.
