The demand for sovereign, fully-controlled AI infrastructure in regulated sectors has gained a significant new solution. Traefik Labs has joined the HPE Unleash AI Partner Program, integrating its Triple Gate security architecture with HPE Private Cloud AI. This collaboration aims to deliver a complete, offline-capable AI runtime platform that allows intelligence, healthcare, and financial services organizations to deploy and govern AI workloads entirely on customer-controlled infrastructure without external dependencies.

  • Traefik Labs has joined the HPE Unleash AI Partner Program to deliver sovereign AI infrastructure.

  • The integration combines Traefik's Triple Gate security architecture with HPE Private Cloud AI, co-developed with NVIDIA.

  • The solution enables complete AI workload deployment with zero external dependencies for air-gapped or offline environments.

  • The "Triple Gate" comprises: an AI Gateway for prompt safety, an MCP Gateway for agent governance, and an API Gateway for backend protection.

  • Key benefits include portable governance defined in Git, unified security management, and true infrastructure sovereignty.

  • The offering targets regulated industries where data control and compliance are existential requirements.

The Shift to Sovereignty-First AI

This partnership directly addresses a growing enterprise mandate: maintaining absolute architectural control over AI systems, especially when handling sensitive data. It presents an alternative to hyperscaler-dependent models, emphasizing localization and independence. Sudeep Goswami, CEO of Traefik Labs, stated, “The enterprise AI landscape is shifting from cloud-first to sovereignty-first, especially in regulated industries where architectural control isn't optional—it's existential. By combining Traefik's Triple Gate security architecture with HPE Private Cloud AI and NVIDIA AI infrastructure, we're delivering what traditional hyperscaler-dependent infrastructure cannot."

Deconstructing the Triple Gate Security Architecture

The core of the offering is Traefik's three-layered security model, each "gate" addressing a specific risk vector in AI operations. Gate 1: AI Gateway uses NVIDIA Nemotron Safety models packaged as NIM microservices to filter malicious prompts and prevent jailbreaks locally on the HPE infrastructure. Gate 2: MCP Gateway enforces Task-Based Access Control, governing what specific actions AI agents can perform on connected enterprise systems like databases or CRM platforms. Gate 3: API Gateway secures the backend microservices and APIs that agents ultimately call, providing credential management, encryption, and data loss prevention.

Operational Benefits for Regulated Industries

The combined solution is designed for environments with stringent compliance needs. The ability to operate with zero external dependencies is paramount for air-gapped networks or industries prohibited from using external cloud services for certain data types. Portable governance allows security policies to be defined declaratively in Git and deployed consistently across any environment—cloud, on-premises, or within HPE Private Cloud AI. This eliminates security fragmentation and ensures compliance is embedded in the infrastructure itself.

Strategic Ecosystem Alignment

HPE's role is to provide the validated, NVIDIA-accelerated private cloud foundation, while Traefik Labs delivers the specialized application-layer security and governance. Robin Braun, Vice President, AI Business Development for Hybrid Cloud at HPE, emphasized the program's goal: “Through the HPE Unleash AI Partner Program, we’re bringing together trusted innovators like Traefik Labs to help enterprises confidently operationalize AI, securely. Our focus is on making it easier for companies to meet their security and governance objectives—whatever they may be—while still unlocking the full potential of AI.”

The integration signifies a maturation of the AI infrastructure market, moving from pure computational power to comprehensive, security-hardened software stacks for high-assurance environments. It provides a blueprint for organizations in regulated sectors to adopt generative AI and intelligent agents without compromising on data sovereignty or control.
