TeamViewer Advances Federal Compliance Strategy

The FedRAMP “In Process” designation demonstrates TeamViewer’s progress in aligning its DEX platform with the stringent cybersecurity and compliance requirements mandated for U.S. federal agencies. Inclusion in the FedRAMP Marketplace is considered a major step for cloud service providers seeking authorization for government deployment.

"Being listed in the FedRAMP Marketplace with 'In Process' designation reflects the significant progress we have made in aligning our technology and processes with the stringent security standards required by the U.S. federal government," said Mei Dent, Chief Product and Technology Officer at TeamViewer. "This step allows us to offer our DEX platform to federal agencies, enabling them to securely improve IT operations and user experience across their organizations."

DEX Platform Focuses on Secure IT Operations

TeamViewer’s DEX platform is designed to help IT teams monitor and optimize digital workplace environments through real-time endpoint performance visibility, automated remediation tools, and actionable analytics. The solution is aimed at improving operational efficiency and user experience across distributed and hybrid work environments.

By progressing through the FedRAMP certification process, TeamViewer intends to make these capabilities available to federal agencies and highly regulated organizations that require advanced security standards and compliance-driven IT management solutions.

Security Assessment and Strategic Partnerships

The FedRAMP milestone follows the successful completion of a comprehensive security assessment conducted by a Third-Party Assessment Organization (3PAO), along with a review by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), TeamViewer’s sponsoring agency.

The company also worked with strategic partners throughout the process. Project Hosts supported the initiative through its GSSOne infrastructure, documentation, security controls, and continuous monitoring capabilities. RapidFort contributed by addressing hardened container images and FIPS 140-3 compliance requirements.

As government agencies continue modernizing IT infrastructure and strengthening cybersecurity frameworks, TeamViewer’s FedRAMP progress positions the company to support secure digital workplace transformation initiatives across the federal sector.
