Sweet Security, a leader in runtime cloud security, has announced a $75 million Series B funding round and unveiled new capabilities to create what it calls the first unified Runtime CNAPP (Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform) for securing both cloud and AI environments in real time.

The substantial funding round follows a year of hypergrowth for Sweet Security, marked by a sixfold increase in annual recurring revenue and a tenfold expansion of its enterprise customer base, which now includes multiple Fortune 1000 companies. This growth is driven by a market shift towards "runtime-first" cloud security, where protection is based on real-time activity in production environments rather than just static configuration checks.

Sweet's new AI Security Platform (AISP) addresses this by allowing teams to discover all AI models and agents, map their interactions, detect adversarial attacks like prompt injection, and analyze agent behavior in real time to block disallowed actions.
The company's technological edge is reinforced by a newly granted U.S. patent. This patent covers the use of a large language model (LLM) to identify anomalous log sessions, which dramatically reduces alert noise and exposes complex, multi-step attacks that traditional, rule-based security systems miss.
