Organizations are increasingly prioritizing data governance and regulatory compliance as they navigate evolving security requirements and the growing adoption of AI technologies. To support these efforts, Simpson Associates has partnered with Nelson Global to enhance the organization's data security, compliance posture, and governance capabilities through Microsoft Purview. The collaboration aims to provide a structured framework for managing regulatory obligations, reducing data risk, and preparing for responsible AI adoption.
Simpson Associates, a UK-based Microsoft solutions partner specializing in data transformation, has entered into a strategic partnership with Nelson Global to strengthen enterprise-wide data governance and compliance. The collaboration is designed to help the multinational organization improve oversight of information protection, regulatory requirements, and data risk using Microsoft Purview.
Operating across multiple industries and regions, Nelson Global faces increasingly complex regulatory obligations. The partnership is intended to establish a structured roadmap that aligns compliance initiatives with evolving governance and security requirements.
As part of the engagement, Simpson Associates will utilize Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager to assess Nelson Global's existing information protection controls against TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) requirements. The assessment will identify compliance gaps and establish a prioritized roadmap based on regulatory impact and organizational risk.
The initiative is expected to provide centralized visibility into compliance activities while enabling more proactive management of regulatory obligations across the enterprise.
Beyond compliance assessment, the partnership includes a Proof of Concept for Microsoft Purview's AI governance capabilities, including Data Security Posture Management (DSPM). Using Microsoft Purview's AI baseline capabilities, Nelson Global aims to establish governance guardrails for responsible AI adoption while addressing emerging compliance requirements associated with enterprise AI deployment.
"Microsoft Purview enables organisations to move beyond static, point-in-time assessments towards a more automated proactive approach to managing risk and regulatory change. Our work with Nelson Global is focused on putting a practical framework in place that supports informed decision-making, ongoing compliance and broadening proactive protections in readiness for safe, governed AI usage and to meet complex compliance needs that are often seen for multinational organisations."
Nick Evans, Account Director at Simpson Associates
"Operating in a complex regulatory environment, we needed a more structured and reliable way to understand our current position and demonstrate progress over time. Working with Simpson Associates and Microsoft Purview gives us a structured, consistent way to assess where we are today and plan how we improve over time."
Michael Magdech, IT Director at Nelson Global
While the initial phase centers on compliance assessment and AI governance evaluation, both organizations view the partnership as the foundation for broader collaboration. Future initiatives are expected to support Nelson Global's long-term governance, cybersecurity, analytics, and regulatory compliance objectives while reinforcing Simpson Associates' expertise in delivering scalable Microsoft Purview solutions for enterprise customers.
As organizations continue to navigate increasingly complex compliance environments and AI regulations, structured governance frameworks supported by platforms like Microsoft Purview are becoming critical for sustainable digital transformation and enterprise risk management.
