The 2025 CyberShark Pitch Competition, hosted by LaunchTech Communications, a CyberRisk Alliance resource, named Sandfly Security and Senteon as its Round 2 finalists during Black Hat 2025. These emerging cybersecurity companies impressed a panel of CISO judges from industries like technology, finance, healthcare, and retail, earning their spots in the final round on October 16, 2025, alongside Round 1 winners Dropzone AI and RapidFort.
Sandfly Security advances with its innovative agentless Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution tailored for Linux environments. Unlike traditional agent-based approaches, Sandfly’s technology ensures high performance and compatibility, addressing critical security gaps in Linux systems without compromising stability. Its unique approach resonated with judges for its clear value in securing mission-critical infrastructure.
Senteon earned its finalist position with a solution focused on continuous configuration remediation and enforcement for workstations, servers, and browsers. By delivering audit-ready endpoint compliance, Senteon addresses the growing need for streamlined security management across diverse IT environments, offering enterprises a robust tool to maintain compliance and reduce vulnerabilities.
The Black Hat round featured strong contenders like Mimic, Bytewhisper, and Stream Security, each showcasing innovative cybersecurity approaches. The CISO judges evaluated pitches based on distinct value propositions and clear messaging, emphasizing solutions that address real-world challenges. “The CyberShark Pitch Competition gives early-growth cybersecurity vendors a unique opportunity to validate their solutions in front of decision makers, while receiving candid, actionable feedback on their messaging, positioning, and product-market fit,” said Wayne Schepens, Chief Cyber Market Analyst at CyberRisk Alliance.
The final round, set for October 16, 2025, will be a live virtual broadcast where Sandfly Security and Senteon will compete against Dropzone AI and RapidFort. Over 3,000 members of the CyberRisk Collaborative will serve as judges, amplifying the competition’s reach and impact. The event builds on the momentum from RSA Conference, where Dropzone AI and RapidFort emerged as Round 1 finalists, reinforcing CyberShark’s role as a platform for cutting-edge cybersecurity innovation.
The 2025 CyberShark Pitch Competition highlights the transformative potential of emerging cybersecurity solutions. By fostering collaboration between vendors and CISOs, it drives innovation, refines go-to-market strategies, and shapes the future of enterprise security.
