  • Rapid7 has acquired Kenzo Security, an agentic AI security platform, to accelerate preemptive security operations.
  • The deal strengthens Rapid7’s Command Platform by integrating autonomous AI investigations and multi-agent analysis.
  • Kenzo Security enables full alert coverage, reducing investigation time by an average of 94% while increasing coverage from 12% to 100%.
  • The acquisition shifts security operations from reactive, manual processes to machine-speed, AI-driven workflows.
  • Organizations will gain scalable investigations across endpoint, identity, cloud, SaaS, and third-party data with full decision transparency.
  • Rapid7 aims to deliver preemptive cybersecurity that disrupts attackers using predictive precision and automation.

Rapid7, Inc. has acquired Kenzo Security to expand its AI-powered managed detection and response capabilities. The move integrates Kenzo’s agentic AI platform into Rapid7’s Command Platform, enabling organizations to move beyond traditional reactive security models toward preemptive, machine-speed operations.

Current Challenges in Security Operations

Security teams today investigate only a fraction of generated alerts due to scale limitations. This leaves organizations stuck in reactive mode, manually reviewing high-priority signals across fragmented telemetry sources while many alerts remain unexamined. Such constraints increase pressure on already stretched teams and prevent full realization of AI-driven productivity gains.

Strategic Vision Behind the Acquisition

“Reactive security models have reached their limits,” said Corey Thomas, CEO of Rapid7. “Attackers are using AI to move faster, attack surface complexity is accelerating, and security teams are expected to improve outcomes without additional resources. Kenzo Security advances our mission to enable security operations that preempt attackers with predictive precision and machine-scale.”

Kenzo Security’s platform integrates, normalizes, and unifies security data through an entity-centric data mesh. It powers multi-agent analysis that conducts autonomous alert investigations with intelligent rule tuning and dynamic playbooks. Multiple specialized AI agents collaborate across security operations tasks, supporting the entire SOC function.

Key Benefits Observed in Deployments

An average Kenzo Security customer reported a 94% reduction in investigation time, with alert coverage rising from 12% to 100%. The platform investigates every alert end-to-end instead of sampling or prioritizing subsets.

“We built Kenzo Security as a revolutionary AI platform designed to help organizations manage security in ways that were not possible before,” said Partha Naidu, chief product officer and co-founder of Kenzo Security. “In customer deployments, we’ve seen investigation time shrink from hours to minutes, and instead of sampling or prioritizing a subset, the platform scales to investigate every alert end-to-end.”

Enhanced Capabilities After Integration

By combining Kenzo’s data mesh and proprietary AI models with Rapid7’s Command Platform, the enhanced solution will deliver several key improvements in managed detection and response (MDR) services:

Full Coverage at Machine Speed

AI-led workflows will automatically investigate and correlate alerts at machine speed, significantly compressing time to detection and response.

Scalable and Dynamic Investigations

The platform will seamlessly ingest, triage, and investigate new and evolving threats while correlating activity across endpoint, identity, cloud, SaaS, and third-party data sources to uncover anomalies with minimal human effort.

100% Decision Transparency

As more workloads shift to AI agents, the solution maintains predictable results and auditable decisions to build trust in autonomous security processes.

Human-AI Collaboration Model

Analysts retain control over key decision points while AI agents handle repetitive and scalable tasks, ensuring configurable and adaptable operations.

Continuous Exposure Management

Agentic workflows will continuously identify and prioritize exposures across endpoint, identity, cloud, and SaaS environments, linking risk signals to active threats for faster remediation and reduced attack surface.

These advancements are expected to lower manual workload on security teams while delivering more consistent and precise investigations, ultimately strengthening organizational cyber resilience.

“Our vision for AI-powered cybersecurity is in lockstep with Rapid7’s data-centric approach,” said Harish Singh, CEO and co-founder of Kenzo Security. “Our integrated models will act as a continuous engine that improves outcomes in real time, while the reach of Rapid7’s global customer base will accelerate the accuracy and effectiveness of Kenzo’s technology. I’m excited about the results that we will deliver together.”

This acquisition reinforces Rapid7’s focus on preemptive managed cybersecurity operations. It combines machine-speed automation with human expertise to help customers reduce risk and respond effectively to modern threats.
