OPSWAT, a global leader in critical infrastructure protection (CIP) cybersecurity solutions, has announced the premiere of its highly anticipated docuseries, Into the Breach Episode 1: Breaking the Firewall, launching globally on YouTube on August 8, 2026. Presented and commissioned by OPSWAT and produced by Cyber King Productions, the debut episode tackles one of the industry's common and dangerous assumptions: that firewalls alone are sufficient to protect critical assets.

The series is hosted by Kari Byron of MythBusters and produced by Cyber King Productions.
The debut episode challenges the belief that firewalls alone can protect critical infrastructure through hands-on experiments and cinematic demonstrations.
The episode features a physical firewall experiment involving a flamethrower and explosions to demonstrate how attackers bypass traditional firewalls.
The series is part of OPSWAT's broader investment in cybersecurity education, including OPSWAT Academy and CEO Benny Czarny's book Cybersecurity Upside Down.
An exclusive advance screening will take place at Black Hat USA 2026 on August 5 in Las Vegas.
OPSWAT commissioned Cyber King Productions to turn complex and often invisible cybersecurity concepts into a visual, entertaining series for both technical and nontechnical audiences. Through experiments, expert interviews, and cinematic storytelling, Into the Breach helps executives, board members, students, and the public understand how attacks on critical infrastructure can affect everyday life. Host Kari Byron guides viewers through hands-on experiments, cinematic demonstrations, and expert insights, exploring how attackers can bypass traditional firewalls and how technologies such as data diodes can add a deterministic hardware-enforced layer of protection for critical environments which is unbreakable.

The August 8 YouTube release follows an international advanced screening tour spanning more than 100 locations around the globe. Travelers can also watch Into the Breach on select airlines' in-flight entertainment systems. Additionally, OPSWAT will host an exclusive advance screening of the episode at Black Hat USA 2026 on Wednesday, August 5, at 5:30 PM in the Vinyl Room at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The screening will be followed by a live Q&A session with Benny Czarny and Kari Byron.
