NetSentries has announced the general availability of AI-augmented security testing capabilities across its targeted assessments and the NST Assure Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) platform. By integrating frontier AI models, including Claude, into its Adversarial Exposure Validation (AEV) workflows, the company aims to accelerate the identification and validation of real-world vulnerabilities. A critical component of this rollout is the Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) operating model, which ensures that while AI handles reasoning and scale, human experts retain final authority over scoping, severity determination, and remediation reporting.
NetSentries introduces AI-augmented testing in NST Assure AEV and zero-knowledge assessments.
The platform utilizes frontier AI models, such as Claude, to enhance exploit development and coverage.
A strict Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) model ensures all findings are validated by security professionals.
AI-augmented workflows for external zero-knowledge assessments go live May 15, 2026.
Customer data is strictly protected and is not used to train any AI models.
Future updates include multi-agent orchestration and specialized "Mythos-class" security models.
The primary objective of these new capabilities is to help organizations outpace increasingly automated threats. By applying AI-assisted analysis, NetSentries can analyze weaknesses across complex environments at a much higher velocity. However, the company emphasizes that human expertise is amplified rather than replaced. Every AI-assisted exploitation validation runs in a semi-autonomous mode, requiring expert assessors to scope the engagement and own every recommendation provided to the customer.
"By applying AI-assisted analysis within NST Assure's AEV workflows and our targeted security assessments, while retaining full HITL governance, we now validate exposures more efficiently without compromising safety or accountability," said Arun Thomas, CTO and Co-Founder of NetSentries. "This ensures findings remain auditable, defensible, and actionable."
For customers, this enhancement translates to faster confirmation of exploitability and clearer prioritization of remediation efforts. Beyond infrastructure, NetSentries is also applying these AI techniques to secure code reviews and application assurance, identifying complex logic flaws that traditional automated tools might miss.
The NST Assure platform is built for a controlled evolution, with plans to integrate multi-agent orchestration engines to scale continuous assessments. Following the launch of zero-knowledge assessments in mid-May, the company plans to introduce AI-augmented credentialed and gray-box assessments, provided customers give explicit consent. All AI activities are logged and governed under internal controls to maintain high standards of data privacy and operational security.
