Elastic today announced plans to bring OpenAI GPT cyber models into Elastic Security. By integrating these models directly into Elastic Security workflows, Elastic aims to give security teams specialized cyber reasoning capabilities for alert triage, investigation, detection engineering and remediation, without requiring customers to deploy and manage separate model infrastructure. Through the OpenAI Daybreak Defense Network, Elastic plans to bring OpenAI GPT cyber models into these workflows to help analysts work through complexity faster.

AI-Powered Security Operations

Security operations teams face a persistent mismatch between alert volume and analyst capacity. As security data and alerts multiply, analysts need faster ways to separate meaningful signals from noise, connect related activity and decide what requires attention. Through the OpenAI Daybreak Defense Network, Elastic plans to bring OpenAI GPT cyber models into these workflows to help analysts work through that complexity faster.

"As attackers use AI to move at machine speed, defenders need AI for security to detect and defend just as fast," said Mike Nichols, general manager, Security, Elastic. "By bringing OpenAI GPT cyber models directly into Elastic Security, we can give customers additional cyber reasoning right where security work happens, without separate model infrastructure or integration overhead."

Planned Availability

Elastic plans to integrate OpenAI's GPT cyber models into Elastic Security workflows through the Elastic Inference Service, its managed, GPU-accelerated inference service. This will enable customers to benefit from the capabilities of OpenAI's most advanced models for cyber defensive use cases.

"Bringing OpenAI GPT cyber models to Elastic Security empowers security teams to leverage domain-specific intelligence to protect and secure their environment," said McCall McIntyre, Head of Global Cyber Partnerships, OpenAI. "Together with Elastic, we're helping teams realize the benefits of an AI-driven SOC."
