Dragos, Inc., the global leader in extended operational technology (xOT) cybersecurity, has announced it has officially acquired NetRise and runZero. The acquisitions follow the close of Accenture's majority investment in Dragos, which provides capital and global reach to accelerate the Dragos Platform at scale. Organizations can now see and defend their full xOT environment, which spans connected devices, networks, cloud, software supply chain, and the operational core.
Dragos acquires NetRise and runZero to expand its xOT cybersecurity platform.

Robert M. Lee has been named Chairman of the Board in addition to his role as CEO.
runZero extends Dragos's asset visibility and exposure management across IT, OT, and cloud.
NetRise adds visibility into firmware and software, surfacing risks like outdated components and hardcoded credentials.
The acquisitions expand the Dragos Intelligence Fabric and Dragos EmberAI capabilities.
Dragos also announced Robert M. Lee has been named Chairman of the Board in addition to his role as CEO, as the company continues to operate independently with its existing leadership team and vendor neutrality required to defend critical infrastructure built on systems from multiple providers. Joining Dragos with their full teams are runZero CEO HD Moore, NetRise CEO Thomas Pace, and NetRise CTO and Chief Scientist Michael Scott. They will lead the integration of NetRise and runZero into the Dragos Platform while continuing to serve their existing customer bases.

Earlier this year, Dragos acquired Phosphorus to protect the billions of connected devices embedded across critical infrastructure and other operational networks. Now runZero extends Dragos's asset visibility and exposure management, pulling in existing IT, OT, and cloud asset data from sources organizations already have, so defenders can see everything in their xOT environment. NetRise adds visibility into the firmware and software running on those devices, surfacing risks like outdated components and hardcoded credentials, and supporting the documentation organizations need for compliance with NERC CIP, NIS2, TSA directives and other requirements.
According to Gartner, "The bidirectional cyber-physical continuum is facing a significantly expanded attack surface as CPS (Cyber-Physical Systems) increasingly interconnect with each other, with enterprise systems, and externally via internet and wireless connectivity. This effectively dismantles the legacy assumption of air-gapped isolation, which is no longer defensible in today's operational environments."
Dragos also welcomes new Board members. Joining from Accenture are Harpreet Sidhu, Global Cybersecurity Lead; Luis Luque, Global OT Cybersecurity Lead; and John Coltsmann, Corporate Development. Dmitri Alperovitch, Co-Founder and Chairman of Silverado Policy Accelerator and Co-Founder and former CTO of CrowdStrike Inc. will return to the Dragos Board.

The acquisitions will also expand the Dragos Intelligence Fabric, the decade of OT-specific telemetry and incident response insights that powers the Dragos Platform. Dragos EmberAI, built specifically for operational environments, will draw on that expanded data set to give analysts using the Dragos Platform even faster and richer guidance.
