DataGuard appoints Arie Teter as Chief Product & Technology Officer to lead its Product and Engineering organizations, accelerating the development of its AI-powered security and compliance platform and advancing the company’s ambition to become the #1 solution in the category.
DataGuard, a leading European provider of SaaS security and compliance software, has appointed Arie Teter as Chief Product & Technology Officer to guide its next phase of product innovation and technical excellence. Reporting directly to the co-CEOs, Teter will lead the Product and Engineering teams, focusing on strategic platform development, scalability, and the integration of AI to simplify complex security and compliance challenges.
Teter’s extensive background spans product leadership and engineering in global B2B cybersecurity and SaaS environments. Most recently, as Chief Product Officer at Orca Security, he shaped product strategy and execution for cloud-native security solutions. Earlier, he served as Director of Engineering at Symantec, managing large engineering teams and complex initiatives, and as Group Manager at Check Point Software Technologies, contributing to enterprise-grade security product development and scaling.
His dual expertise in deep technical engineering and strategic product vision positions him to advance DataGuard’s all-in-one platform, which helps organizations manage security risks, achieve certifications faster, and comply with overlapping regulations including ISO 27001, TISAX®, SOC 2, GDPR, NIS2, and the European AI Act.
“Product and technology innovation are central to how we create value for our customers,” said Kivanç Semen, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of DataGuard. “Arie’s deep experience in security, combined with his strong belief in customer-centric product development, makes him an excellent fit for DataGuard. We’re excited to welcome him to the leadership team as we continue to scale our platform globally.”
As security and compliance evolve into ongoing, board-level priorities, organizations face increasing pressure to automate manual processes while ensuring reliable, auditable outcomes. Teter’s appointment aligns with DataGuard’s focus on building AI-powered systems that reduce time and cost, enhance trust, and enable confident scaling into new markets.
“As companies grow, security and compliance must evolve from manual effort to intelligent, scalable systems,” said Arie Teter. “DataGuard’s AI-powered platform strikes a rare balance between automation and trust, helping customers achieve reliable outcomes with speed and clarity. I’m excited to build products that not only simplify compliance today, but fundamentally raise the bar for how organizations manage risk going forward.”
