Darktrace has appointed Terry Doyle as its new Chief Information Officer, adding another seasoned executive to its leadership team. Doyle, who brings nearly 30 years of experience leading technology transformations at global firms like Team Internet Group, RWS, and GroupM, will establish and lead a newly consolidated enterprise IT and data function. His mandate is to build scalable technology systems and data capabilities that provide consistency and confidence as Darktrace continues its global expansion.

The appointment of a dedicated CIO signals Darktrace's focus on maturing its internal systems and processes to underpin sustained growth. CEO Jill Popelka framed the hire as part of an intentional evolution: “Over the past year, we’ve moved fast to strengthen the systems and processes that underpin our business. The next phase of our journey will provide data and insights to operate with greater speed, consistency, and discipline as we scale.” Doyle's experience in complex, high-growth environments is seen as key to this next phase.
Doyle's background includes senior CIO roles at multinational organizations where he managed global technology functions across dozens of countries and oversaw multi-million-dollar budgets. At Team Internet Group, he led IT across 12 countries. Prior roles at RWS and WPP's GroupM involved leading large-scale transformation programs supporting thousands of users. This track record in building and scaling enterprise technology infrastructure aligns with Darktrace's needs as it serves nearly 10,000 customers worldwide.
Doyle's hire is the latest in a series of strategic executive appointments over the past year aimed at bolstering Darktrace's operational capabilities. This includes the additions of CFO Suman Raju, Chief Revenue Officer Hein Hellemons, and Chief Customer Officer Bryce Cote. Together, these hires underscore a concerted investment in experienced leadership to drive operational excellence, deepen customer value, and support long-term, sustainable growth.
