The integration of artificial intelligence into cybersecurity operations is advancing from conversational assistants to autonomous, workflow-enhancing agents. Cyware, a leader in AI-powered threat intelligence management, has announced a major upgrade to its Cyware Quarterback AI solution, introducing an "AI Fabric" that weaves together generative and agentic AI capabilities to automate and accelerate critical security operations tasks.
Cyware enhances its Quarterback AI with an "AI Fabric" of agentic workflows.
New AI agents automate playbook creation, custom code generation, and runlog debugging.
The platform includes a browser plugin to scrape and structure threat intelligence from websites.
Threat summarization features help analysts cut through alert fatigue.
The integrated approach embeds AI directly into security products versus being an add-on.
The goal is to accelerate threat intelligence operationalization and analyst productivity.
Initially launched as a co-pilot chat assistant, Cyware Quarterback AI has been significantly expanded into what the company describes as an AI Fabric. This approach integrates multiple AI methods—generative, agentic, and in-product capabilities—directly into security workflows. Unlike standalone AI tools, this fabric is designed to be deeply embedded within the platform, bringing intelligence to every stage of the threat intelligence lifecycle.
The upgrade introduces several specialized AI agents aimed at reducing manual effort. The Playbook Builder Agent allows analysts to generate security automation workflows from natural language descriptions. The Custom Code Generator automatically creates code blocks for these playbooks, while the Playbook Runlog Debugger assists in identifying the root causes of failed automations. These agents work to simplify complex, time-consuming tasks that traditionally require advanced expertise.
“Paramount to Cyware’s direction is our customers’ success, and we are excited to be able to ease the practitioner’s day-to-day operations and accelerate their workflows with an AI Fabric approach,” said Sachin Jade, CPO of Cyware.
Beyond automation, the platform includes capabilities to speed up threat analysis. An Advanced Threat Intel Crawler, available as a browser plugin, transforms unstructured threat data from websites into structured, enriched information in real-time. Combined with threat summarization features, these tools help analysts quickly digest large volumes of data and avoid information overload.
The introduction of agentic AI workflows marks a significant step in practical cybersecurity AI. By moving beyond simple chat interfaces to autonomous agents that perform specific, high-value tasks, Cyware is enabling security teams to respond faster to threats and scale their operations more effectively in the face of evolving cyber risks.
