At Black Hat USA 2025, CrowdStrike announced two new expert-led offerings, AI Systems Security Assessment and AI for SecOps Readiness, expanding its AI Security Services portfolio. These services address the growing challenges of securing AI systems and integrating AI into security operations centers (SOCs), as organizations face risks from shadow AI, misconfigurations, and AI-driven adversarial tactics.
The AI Systems Security Assessment helps organizations identify and mitigate risks in AI deployments. “Security teams are under pressure on both sides, to protect rapidly evolving AI systems and to bring AI into the SOC without introducing new risk,” said Tom Etheridge, chief global services officer, CrowdStrike. Leveraging the Falcon platform, including Falcon Shield and AI Model Scanning, it provides real-time visibility into AI usage across SaaS, cloud, and endpoint environments. The service includes threat-informed testing to emulate real-world adversary tactics and delivers actionable governance recommendations to secure large language models (LLMs) and agent-based systems.
The AI for SecOps Readiness service enables security teams to adopt AI for faster detection, investigation, and response. It assesses SOC readiness by evaluating staffing, tooling, and workflows, identifying high-impact AI use cases like alert triage. The service offers strategic guidance, including “build vs. buy” recommendations and a prioritized roadmap for integrating Falcon-native and third-party AI tools, ensuring secure and scalable adoption. This is critical as adversaries leverage AI to accelerate attacks, such as SCATTERED SPIDER’s 24-hour ransomware deployment cycle, 32% faster than last year.
CrowdStrike’s 2025 Threat Hunting Report highlights adversaries weaponizing AI for reconnaissance, phishing, and malware creation, with groups like FAMOUS CHOLLIMA automating insider attacks. The new services counter these threats by securing AI systems and enabling SOCs to operate at machine speed.
