CBTS has strengthened its managed security services portfolio by achieving Palo Alto Networks NextWave MSSP Advanced Specializations across network security, cloud security, and security operations. The latest recognition brings the company's total to seven advanced specializations, reinforcing its capabilities in delivering enterprise cybersecurity, AI security, and cloud-native security services.
CBTS announced that it has achieved additional Palo Alto Networks NextWave MSSP Advanced Specializations, bringing its total certifications to seven across multiple security technologies.
The company's current specializations include:
The milestone builds on four NextWave Specializations earned in 2024 and reflects continued investment in cybersecurity expertise, engineering talent, and managed security operations.
CBTS also holds Palo Alto Networks Diamond Innovator Solution Provider status, Platinum MSSP status, more than 100 Palo Alto Networks certifications, and a team of 90 network and security operations engineers.
CBTS says the expanded certifications strengthen its ability to help organizations secure increasingly complex IT environments while supporting enterprise AI adoption.
"Enterprise organizations are facing pressure on many fronts," said Chris DeBrunner, CISO at CBTS. "Teams are still securing cloud environments, remote users and a rapidly evolving threat landscape, and now AI adoption is opening exposure at the model, data and infrastructure layers. What organizations need isn't more point solutions, it's platforms that connect network, identity, cloud and infrastructure through the SOC, and carry that same discipline into protecting AI environments."
The company's AI Native Security services, offered through its Forge AI solution, leverage Palo Alto Networks Cortex and Prisma technologies to secure AI models, enterprise data, and supporting infrastructure while maintaining operational resilience.
Palo Alto Networks highlighted the value of integrated cybersecurity platforms as organizations continue consolidating security operations across cloud, network, and AI environments.
"Platformization shifts the advantage back to defenders by replacing operational complexity with seamless, unified protection against increasingly sophisticated, AI-powered attacks," said Anar Desai, Vice President, North America Channel Sales, Palo Alto Networks. "CBTS has demonstrated expertise across network, cloud and SOC environments. Combined with Palo Alto Networks comprehensive platforms, this provides exactly what our mutual customers need to confidently consolidate their infrastructure and modernize security operations."
The collaboration enables enterprises to simplify security management while improving protection across hybrid infrastructure and AI-powered environments.
CBTS also highlighted a recent deployment with Coastal Credit Union, where it modernized network connectivity and security infrastructure across 23 branch locations, headquarters, and two data centers.
Using Palo Alto Networks SD-WAN, Prisma SASE, and Prisma Access, CBTS implemented a cloud-first architecture supported by managed Network as a Service and bandwidth aggregation.
According to the company, the deployment improved security policy consistency, enhanced network resilience through redundant wired and LTE/5G connectivity, and streamlined IT operations using a co-managed services model.
The latest specializations further position CBTS to support organizations pursuing digital transformation initiatives while strengthening cybersecurity, cloud operations, and AI readiness through integrated managed security services.
