Black Hat USA 2025, held August 2–7 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, successfully concluded with 20,000 verified attendees. The event, a cornerstone of the cybersecurity industry, featured over 100 Briefings, hands-on Trainings, and a vibrant Business Hall, driving innovation and collaboration in AI, cloud security, and more.

The six-day event kicked off with four days of technical Trainings (August 2–5), followed by Summit Day and the main conference (August 6–7). Over 100 Briefings covered AI, exploit development, and cloud security, while 120 Sponsored Sessions and 115 tool demos highlighted ethical hacking and incident response. “Black Hat USA continues to be the cornerstone event where cybersecurity's brightest minds convene,” said Steve Wylie, Vice President and General Manager, Black Hat.

The expanded Keynote lineup featured Mikko Hypponen (WithSecure), Nicole Perlroth (Silver Buckshot Ventures), Ron Deibert (The Citizen Lab), Jennifer Granick (ACLU), and Chris Inglis (Former U.S. National Cyber Director). Main Stage talks included Richard Seiersen (Qualys), Snehal Antani (Horizon3.ai), and Microsoft’s security leaders, addressing AI-driven threats and national defense strategies.

Business Hall and Networking

The Business Hall hosted over 425 vendors, showcasing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. Attendees engaged through Arsenal tool demos, Sponsored Sessions, and networking hubs like the Community Lounge and Professional Development Zone, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Summits and Startup Spotlight

Summit Day (August 5) featured the inaugural Financial Services Summit, alongside AI, Innovators & Investors, CISO, and Omdia Analyst Summits. Micro Summits on cyber insurance, industrial control systems, and supply chain security followed. The Startup Spotlight Competition saw Prime Security triumph over finalists FireTail, Keep Aware, and Twine Security, with a Global Startup Spotlight planned for 2026.

AI dominated discussions, with panels noting its role in accelerating phishing and exploits, urging real-time security adaptations. The event’s success underscores its role as a global hub for cybersecurity innovation, supported by sponsors like Armis, CrowdStrike, and Google Cloud.
