Binary Defense is strengthening its product leadership with a high-profile appointment aimed at accelerating its technology innovation. The company has announced Dr. Aaron Estes, a veteran cybersecurity engineer and former Lockheed Martin Fellow, as its new Vice President of Product, tasking him with advancing the company's roadmap for automation, AI, and deception technology.

Dr. Estes brings more than 25 years of experience in software engineering and cybersecurity to the role. His nearly two decades at Lockheed Martin, where he achieved the prestigious rank of Lockheed Martin Fellow three times, underscores a deep background in engineering discipline and innovation. Most recently, he served as CEO of Ironwood Cyber, where he developed a SaaS-based autonomous penetration-testing platform. His appointment signals Binary Defense's commitment to embedding advanced, research-driven engineering into its product ecosystem.
In his new role, Dr. Estes will lead product strategy across Binary Defense's technology portfolio. This includes the AI-augmented BD Platform and BDVision, a stealth MDR agent that enhances existing endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions with behavior-based detection and deception technology. A key initiative will be spearheading the addition of new advanced deception capabilities into BDVision, including Automated Moving Target Defense (AMTD) techniques that dynamically reconfigure environments to disrupt and confuse attackers.
