Apono and Check Point Integrate for Real-Time Zero Standing Access

Apono and Check Point Integrate for Real-Time Zero Standing Access

Apono has unveiled a new integration with Check Point Software Technologies, introducing an advanced SASE-based Zero Standing Privilege (ZSP) architecture. This solution eliminates persistent permissions by delivering temporary, event-driven access in real-time across cloud environments, reducing attack surfaces while supporting agile operations for engineering teams, distributed workforces, and incident response.

  • Apono integrates with Check Point Harmony SASE for real-time Zero Standing Privilege enforcement.
  • Replaces slow SCIM syncs (30-60 minutes) with instant, temporary access provisioning.
  • Eliminates long-lived permissions to minimize attack surfaces in cloud environments.
  • Supports context-aware workflows triggered by incidents, changes, or ITSM events.
  • Automates over-privilege detection and rightsizing for least-privilege access.
  • Enables dynamic access for human users, automated systems, and AI agents.

Overcoming Limitations of Traditional Identity Synchronization

Conventional SCIM-based provisioning often introduces delays of 30 to 60 minutes, compelling organizations to maintain standing access to prevent operational disruptions. The Apono-Check Point integration addresses this by enforcing just-in-time permissions directly through Harmony SASE, ensuring access is granted only for the required task and duration, with automatic revocation upon completion.

"Cloud environments are now operated not only by humans but by automated systems and AI-driven agents," said Ofir Stein, Co-founder and CTO of Apono. "These systems react in milliseconds, and access must follow the same pace. Our integration with Check Point allows access to rise and fall dynamically alongside the infrastructure, ensuring real-time enforcement whether the actor is an engineer or an automated agent."

Enhancing Zero Trust in SASE Frameworks

As enterprises adopt Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions to protect distributed teams, traditional approaches create friction during critical scenarios like incident response. The joint solution streamlines this by removing persistent permissions, bypassing delayed identity provider synchronizations, and applying temporary least-privilege access at the network enforcement layer.

"Organizations are under increasing pressure to enforce Zero Trust without slowing down their teams," said Amit Bareket, VP of Security Service Edge at Check Point Software. "With Harmony SASE, our collaboration with Apono extends Zero Trust from identity to Just-In-Time & Just-Enough network access enforcement in a single, cloud-delivered control plane. By unifying policy and real-time enforcement across users, devices, and apps, we eliminate unnecessary complexity and let teams stay productive without compromising security."

Core Features of the Integration

The partnership delivers real-time identity provisioning that instantly manages Harmony SASE group memberships without SCIM delays. It enforces policy-driven Zero Standing Privilege, making all access time-bound and self-expiring. Context-aware workflows allow access activation based on operational signals, while automated rightsizing detects and corrects excessive permissions.

Future enhancements will include expanded automation, additional triggers, and comprehensive governance capabilities, advancing toward a fully reactive Zero Trust model.

"When we talk about deeper automation and richer context, we're talking about an access model that can react on its own," said Ben Avner, Head of Technology Partnerships at Apono. "Partnering with Check Point gives us the foundation to deliver an end-to-end, real-time system where privileges rise and fall automatically with the work itself."

This collaboration marks a significant step in unifying real-time access controls, enabling organizations to achieve robust security alongside operational efficiency in dynamic cloud landscapes.
