Elastic Cloud Hosted’s FedRAMP High "In Process" status is a pivotal step toward supporting the U.S. Federal Government’s most sensitive workloads. The FedRAMP High baseline, the program’s strictest standard, requires over 400 security controls to safeguard controlled unclassified information (CUI) and high-impact data critical to national security, infrastructure, and financial systems. Elastic’s existing FedRAMP Moderate authorization already supports various public sector agencies, and this advancement expands its capacity for high-security environments. “Achieving FedRAMP High 'In Process' status is a significant step toward expanding our support for federal agencies with high-security workloads,” said Chris Townsend, global vice president, Public Sector at Elastic.
Elastic’s Search AI Platform powers enterprise search, observability, and security solutions, making it essential for federal agencies. The FedRAMP High "In Process" status enables Elastic to support Zero Trust strategies and generative AI applications, ensuring secure and compliant operations. Elastic Cloud Hosted’s capabilities allow agencies to manage sensitive data effectively, supporting mission-critical use cases. “Whether it’s advancing Zero Trust strategies or building generative AI applications, Elastic is committed to delivering secure, transparent, compliant and cost-effective solutions to help government agencies achieve their missions,” said Chris Townsend.
Elastic is working with its sponsoring agency and third-party assessors to complete the final stages of the FedRAMP High authorization process. Upon full authorization, Elastic Cloud Hosted will be equipped to handle the government’s most security-sensitive workloads, reinforcing its role as a trusted partner for federal agencies. This milestone aligns with Elastic’s robust financial position, with a market capitalization of $8.83 billion, positioning it for expanded government contracts.
Elastic’s progress toward FedRAMP High authorization highlights its dedication to delivering secure, AI-driven cloud solutions, empowering federal agencies to achieve their missions with confidence.
