Why AI ROI Gap Needs Actionable Planning Roadmap

Companies are investing heavily in AI, but translating that investment into business results remains a significant challenge. KPMG's Q1 2026 Global AI Pulse found that while 95% of organizations have an AI strategy, only 8% report an established return on their investment. Data readiness presents another obstacle. A 2026 Dun & Bradstreet survey of 10,000 businesses found that only 6% say their enterprise data is fully ready to support AI at scale.

BrainTrust AI BluePrint Builder turns AI planning into an actionable roadmap. Designed for large, complex organizations that need to determine where and how to invest in AI, the product consults with executive leaders and assesses a company's current technology, data health, reporting, workflows and business goals. It then identifies and prioritizes AI use cases along an implementation roadmap that includes detailed timelines, resource and technology requirements, and estimated budgets. It can also be used iteratively in executive or board meetings, quarterly business reviews and annual planning meetings.

"Business leaders are under pressure to make decisions about AI, but many aren't sure where to start, how much to budget or what areas will provide the greatest ROI for their specific business," said Tim Hayden, CEO, BrainTrust Partners. "BrainTrust AI BluePrint Builder gives leaders a confident and defensible view of where AI can make a difference in their business and what it will take to get there. And because AI is changing so quickly, they can continue using the tool as their priorities and AI needs evolve."

BrainTrust Partners partnered with Iternal to develop BrainTrust AI BluePrint Builder. The system draws on more than 4,000 enterprise digital transformation and AI projects delivered over the past five years, and monitors new data and AI product release announcements.

How BrainTrust IXP Connects Data to Power Contextual AI

BrainTrust IXP is designed for midmarket and multi-location businesses with customer and operational data spread across different systems. The platform connects that information so businesses can better understand customers, power AI-driven interactions, automate work and inform business decisions. Initially proven for automotive dealer groups, BrainTrust IXP can connect information from dealership management systems, CRM, inventory, service, website, finance and insurance, and sales and marketing systems to create a more complete view of each customer.

With that information connected, an AI agent can understand a customer's history and recent activity before an interaction begins. For example, at an automotive dealership, the AI agent can know the customer's current vehicle, service history, recent website activity and previous interactions, then use that context to respond to an inquiry, identify what the customer needs and pass the information to the appropriate team member. BrainTrust IXP also supports agentic AI interactions across direct channels including SMS, email and website chat.

"Most businesses already have tremendous amounts of information about their customers and operations, but that information often sits in different places, making it difficult to connect the dots and extract value," said Hayden. "BrainTrust IXP connects the data so AI has the context to be more useful to businesses and their customers, giving team members greater insight to operate more effectively, while marketing communications become more efficient and productive."

Both products provide private and secure environments that protect sensitive customer and business information. BrainTrust Partners will showcase its AI capabilities at the Automotive AI Summit at MIT, Autovate in Scottsdale, and MAICON in Cleveland.
