Tacta Systems, a Palo Alto-based robotics innovator, has raised $75 million to develop Dextrous Intelligence, enabling robots to perform human-like tasks with advanced tactile skills and spatial awareness. This funding will accelerate the creation of solutions to automate complex industrial and consumer applications, transforming how robots interact with the physical world.
Tacta Systems announced on June 26, 2025, a total of $75 million in funding, comprising an $11 million seed round led by Matter Venture Partners and a $64 million Series A round led by America’s Frontier Fund and SBVA. Additional investors include B Capital, EDBI, Sojitz Corporation, CDIB-TEN Capital, Yazaki Innovations Inc., B5 Capital, Tyche Partners, and Woven Capital. This capital will fuel the development of robotic solutions capable of performing intricate, human-like tasks across industries.
Tacta’s proprietary Dextrous Intelligence acts as a smart nervous system, integrating advanced software, hardware, and AI to endow robots with human-level tactile skills and spatial awareness. This technology enables robots to sense, adapt, and manipulate objects with precision and speed, addressing complex physical tasks that traditional AI models struggle to comprehend, such as delicate factory work or labor-intensive processes.
“Enabling machines to solve complex, physical world problems is the next frontier in robotics technology,” said Andreas Bibl, Co-founder and CEO of Tacta Systems.
The construction and manufacturing sectors face significant challenges, including labor shortages and inefficiencies in handling variable tasks. Tacta’s robots, equipped with Dextrous Intelligence, aim to automate repetitive and grueling tasks, improving efficiency and reducing costs. The technology’s applications span manufacturing, logistics, electronics, automotive, and more, with potential to revolutionize industries by enabling flexible, autonomous robotic systems.
Founded by serial entrepreneurs, Tacta is led by CEO Andreas Bibl, whose vision for robotics has garnered strong investor support. “Tacta is led by one of the most seasoned and accomplished Hard Tech entrepreneurs that I’ve ever seen,” said Wen Hsieh, Founding Managing Partner at Matter Venture Partners. The company’s rapid progress in developing game-changing technology positions it to make a significant impact in the robotics industry.
Tacta Systems’ $75 million funding round marks a pivotal step toward redefining robotics with human-like dexterity. By leveraging Dextrous Intelligence, Tacta is poised to transform industrial and consumer applications, driving automation and efficiency in a rapidly evolving market.
