Nokia has entered into a strategic partnership with Supermicro, a global leader in Application-Optimized Total IT Solutions, to accelerate the deployment of high-performance, AI-optimized data center networking solutions. This collaboration combines Nokia’s data center automation and operating system with Supermicro’s advanced switching platforms to meet the demands of AI, HPC, and modern cloud environments.

Quick Intel

  • Nokia and Supermicro join forces to deliver AI-optimized data center networking.

  • Integration of Supermicro’s 800G Ethernet switches with Nokia’s SR Linux NOS and Event-Driven Automation.

  • Pre-validated turnkey solution designed to reduce deployment time and operational costs.

  • Built to handle AI, HPC, and cloud workloads with high scalability and automation.

  • Partnership expands Nokia’s enterprise reach via Supermicro’s sales channels.

  • Enables faster response times, higher efficiency, and improved reliability in data centers.

AI and Cloud Workloads Drive New Demands

Data centers are facing a critical transformation as AI and cloud workloads intensify. Performance, scalability, and automation are now central to modern data center architecture. Nokia and Supermicro’s partnership directly addresses this shift, aligning compute, networking, and storage innovations to deliver more agile and efficient infrastructure.

Integrated High-Performance Networking Solution

The joint solution brings together Supermicro’s 800G Ethernet switching platforms with Nokia’s Service Router Linux (SR Linux) Network Operating System and Nokia’s Event-Driven Automation (EDA). This integrated infrastructure automates the complete data center lifecycle—from Day 0 design and Day 1 deployment to Day 2+ ongoing operations. The result is a streamlined, pre-validated offering that cuts complexity, accelerates deployment, and enhances overall efficiency.

Executive Insights

“This collaboration gives our customers more choice and flexibility in how they build their infrastructure, with the confidence that Nokia’s SR Linux and EDA are tightly integrated with our systems. It strengthens our ability to deliver networked compute architectures for high-performance workloads, while simplifying orchestration and automation with a unified platform,” said Cenly Chen, Chief Growth Officer, Senior Vice President & Managing Director at Supermicro.

“Partnering with Supermicro further validates Nokia SR Linux and Event-Driven Automation are the right software foundation for today’s data center and IP networks. It also gives us significantly greater reach into the enterprise market through Supermicro’s extensive channels and direct sales, aligning with our strategy to expand in cloud, HPC, and AI-driven infrastructure,” said Vach Kompella, Senior Vice President and General Manager, IP Networks Division at Nokia.

Scaling Modern Data Centers with Automation

Nokia continues to help cloud builders worldwide establish secure, reliable, and easy-to-operate data center networks to support AI growth. Its Event-Driven Automation reduces manual processes, minimizes errors, and improves scalability by proactively addressing issues at speed. This allows data centers to maintain consistent performance while lowering operational costs.

Nokia and Supermicro’s partnership represents a significant milestone in advancing AI-optimized, automated infrastructure for enterprises and hyperscalers alike.
