On July 28, 2025, Doosan Robotics’ board approved the acquisition of an 89.59% stake in ONExia, a Pennsylvania-based firm specializing in end-to-end automation services. Valued at approximately USD 25.9 million (KRW 35.6 billion), the deal includes a stock purchase agreement and capital increase participation. Founded in 1984, ONExia serves industries like manufacturing, logistics, and packaging, offering solutions such as collaborative robotic systems for end-of-line processes like palletizing and box assembly. With an average annual sales growth of 30%, ONExia’s expertise and 25 years of automation data will bolster Doosan Robotics’ AI capabilities and industry-specific solution development.

Advancing AI and Humanoid Technology

Doosan Robotics is shifting from a hardware-centric model to an integrated platform emphasizing AI and software-based solutions. The acquisition of ONExia provides advanced engineering capabilities and project execution know-how, critical for developing data-driven intelligent robotics.
