  • Standard Bots launches an expanded 16,000 sq ft production facility in Glen Cove, NY.

  • The new factory doubles the company's robot production capacity.

  • Standard Bots unveils a new 30kg payload, 2m reach robot at The Automate Show.

  • The company will demonstrate its in-house physical AI powered by NVIDIA Isaac at the show.

  • This AI allows users to teach robots tasks through demonstration, eliminating coding.

  • The new robot offers collaborative features and is competitively priced for industries like automotive and logistics.

Scaling Production of American-Made Robotics

“This new facility marks a pivotal moment for Standard Bots as we scale to meet growing demand for American-made robotics,” said Evan Beard, Co-Founder & CEO of Standard Bots. “We’re thrilled to debut both our expanded factory and our latest innovations at Automate.”

At The Automate Show, Standard Bots will showcase its internally developed physical AI, a groundbreaking technology built specifically for its robots and powered by the NVIDIA Isaac platform. This innovative AI enables users to teach robots new tasks simply by demonstrating the desired actions, removing the traditional need for complex coding or programming. Users can then refine and augment their demonstration data using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, a reference application built on NVIDIA Omniverse for rapid deployment. This comprehensive model, which has undergone extensive private beta testing, is slated for broader release in 2025 and promises to simplify automation for numerous complex processes that were previously challenging to automate using conventional robotics.

Introducing a Powerful and Versatile New Robot

Alongside its advanced AI technology, Standard Bots unveiled its new robot featuring a 30kg payload capacity and a 2-meter reach. This new model combines collaborative robot features, such as a compact design, user-friendly programming interface, and advanced safety features, with robust specifications suitable for handling heavy-duty tooling and large workpieces. This combination is highly valued across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and logistics. Notably, Standard Bots offers this American-built robot at a more competitive price point compared to its rivals, further strengthening its position in the market.

The Growth Potential of the Robotics Industry

The robotics industry is experiencing significant growth, with the International Federation of Robotics reporting a 31% increase in global robot installations in manufacturing in 2022 alone. “Robotics has been the unlock for the repatriation of manufacturing, but the potential has been hindered by two major barriers: cost and flexibility,” said Quentin Clark, Managing Director of General Catalyst. “We look forward to supporting Standard Bots and seeing how their technology will open up new possibilities for robotics across American manufacturing."

In conclusion, Standard Bots' expanded production facility and the introduction of its new high-payload robot, coupled with its innovative physical AI, position the company as a key player in the growing American robotics market, offering both advanced technology and competitive pricing.
