The latest product updates introduce new capabilities that help learning teams improve content creation while giving learners greater control and personalized support throughout their learning journey.
One of the major announcements is D2L Lumi Remix, an AI-powered solution designed to help organizations enhance and repurpose existing learning content instead of creating new materials from scratch.
The platform enables educators, administrators, and corporate learning teams to modify existing course content, apply D2L Creator+ interactive elements, customize learning materials for different audiences, and translate content using AI-assisted workflows. These capabilities aim to improve productivity while reducing the time required to develop and maintain educational resources.
D2L also introduced D2L Lumi Learner Mode, a new feature designed to increase learner engagement and encourage greater ownership of the learning experience.
The AI-powered functionality enables learners to highlight key concepts, add notes, receive contextual examples, assess their understanding, monitor learning progress, explore topics in greater depth, and access AI tutoring directly alongside course materials. Beta availability for Lumi Learner Mode will begin in September for Lumi Pro users.

New features help educators manage group work more efficiently, provide learners with greater flexibility during quizzes, simplify navigation through learning paths, and enable achievements to remain connected throughout learners' educational journeys.
D2L also introduced updates for Creator+ and H5P, including faster interactive content creation, an improved H5P user experience, and accessibility enhancements designed to align with WCAG 2.2 A and AA standards.
Additionally, Createspace is scheduled for limited availability in August, with general availability expected in December 2026.
