Speechify has announced that its flagship Simba 3.2 text-to-speech (TTS) model has achieved top rankings on two independent industry benchmarks, strengthening its position in the competitive voice AI market. The model secured first place on the Artificial Analysis text-to-speech leaderboard and joint second place on Voice Arena, outperforming or matching leading models from major AI companies while maintaining a competitive production-focused pricing model.
Speechify announced that Simba 3.2 has secured the top position on the Artificial Analysis text-to-speech leaderboard while earning a joint second-place ranking on Voice Arena, two independent benchmarks that evaluate commercially available text-to-speech models.
According to the company, neither benchmark is operated by Speechify or relies on self-reported performance metrics. Both rankings are updated independently as new voice AI models are released.
The Artificial Analysis leaderboard evaluates commercially available text-to-speech models using a standardized testing methodology, with Simba 3.2 currently ranking ahead of models from ElevenLabs, Cartesia, OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and other voice AI providers.
Voice Arena uses blind listener evaluations in which native speakers compare anonymous audio samples generated from identical text and vote for the version they consider more natural. Rankings are determined using an Elo rating system similar to the methodology popularized for evaluating large language models.
The evaluation spans six languages, uses balanced voice selections, and focuses on real-world text-to-speech scenarios without relying on vendor-selected samples or internally reported quality scores.
Speechify positions Simba 3.2 as a streaming-native model optimized for production deployments such as AI voice agents, live readers, phone systems, and other real-time voice applications.
The model includes lower time-to-first-byte performance, fine-grained emotional control, SSML prosody support, instant voice cloning from short reference clips, and native-quality speech generation across more than 30 locales with automatic mixed-language support.
According to the company, Simba 3.2 is available starting at $10 per one million characters on the entry tier, with pricing reduced to $6 per one million characters for Scale tier customers.
"This is the underdog story for API providers," said Luke Oliff, Head of Developer Relations at Speechify. "We spent years making our models run efficiently because our consumer business demanded it, tens of millions of listeners, with some of the best voices on the planet. That work is why we can now put the best-rated model in the world on our API at about as cheap as it comes. Most labs built for the benchmark and priced for the enterprise. We built for listeners and priced for production."
"As an undergrad at Stanford, CS229 with Andrew Ng sparked my interest in ML. My course project was fine-tuning Tacotron 2. My team's new model at Speechify just hit SOTA, five years later. It's pretty surreal looking back," said Tyler Weitzman, Co-Founder, President and Head of AI at Speechify, in a post on X.
Simba 3.2 is available through the SpeechifyAI platform using a REST API alongside first-party TypeScript and Python SDKs.
To support organizations migrating from other text-to-speech providers, Speechify also offers migration resources through its open-source Speechify Cookbook and forward-deployed engineering support for production deployments. These services help development teams manage voice mapping, SSML migration, load testing, and production cutovers.
With Simba 3.2 now generally available, Speechify aims to provide developers with a high-performance, real-time voice AI solution that combines competitive pricing with advanced speech synthesis capabilities for enterprise and consumer applications.
