This enhanced partnership connects Google's leading AI technologies with Snowflake's secure, governed data environment. By bringing Gemini models directly to where enterprise data resides, organizations can build intelligent Data Agents and AI applications without compromising data security or incurring the latency and risk of data movement. Christian Kleinerman, EVP of Product at Snowflake, highlighted the combined value, stating, “By combining Google Cloud’s industry leadership with Snowflake’s ability to bring AI directly to enterprise data, we’re empowering customers to move faster, innovate more freely, and redefine what’s possible through data and AI.”

The collaboration extends beyond product integration to include deeper go-to-market alignment. This enables joint customer engagements and new co-sell opportunities, with the ability to transact directly through Google Cloud Marketplace. The partnership is also driving global expansion, with Snowflake recently launching on Google Cloud in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and an upcoming launch in Melbourne, Australia, scheduled for early 2026.
A key infrastructure advancement is the production availability of Snowflake Gen2 Warehouses on Google Cloud's new Axion-based C4A VM machines. This upgrade delivers notable price-performance benefits, providing a high-performance foundation for running demanding AI and analytics workloads.
