Mindbreeze, a global leader in AI-based knowledge management solutions, has released its 2H 2025 GenAI Confidence Index Report, revealing a strong surge in enterprise trust in generative AI. The findings highlight that the vast majority of C-suite leaders (82%) maintain high confidence in GenAI, while overall enterprise confidence grew 5 percent compared to the beginning of the year. Vendor capabilities also saw a notable jump in confidence, underscoring a shifting landscape for enterprise AI adoption.

Quick Intel

  • 82% of C-suite executives show strong confidence in GenAI at an industry level.

  • Overall enterprise confidence in GenAI rose from 72% to 77% in 2025.

  • Confidence in vendors’ ability to implement GenAI grew 16%, reaching 78%.

  • Customer service is the top GenAI use case, surging to 27%.

  • ROI concerns now lead as the main barrier to adoption, cited by 33%.

  • U.S. and European survey conducted among 9,350 managers and executives.

Enterprise Confidence Continues to Grow

The report shows enterprise confidence in GenAI adoption rose from 72% to 77% compared to the original 1H 2025 survey. The C-suite remains the most confident group at 82%, while middle management continues to express the greatest hesitation, with 11% reporting low confidence.

Vendor Capabilities Gain Significant Trust

One of the most notable findings is the 16% increase in confidence in vendors’ abilities to implement GenAI solutions, rising from 62% to 78%. This suggests enterprises increasingly trust external providers to deliver operational benefits where internal capabilities may fall short.

Customer Service Leads GenAI Applications

Customer service took a decisive lead as the most anticipated application of GenAI, jumping from 17% to 27%. IT (19%) and marketing (11%) followed as strong areas of application, while HR and sales each secured 9%, reflecting broader enterprise interest in AI-driven solutions.

Shifts in Barriers to Adoption

The reasons for not implementing GenAI shifted significantly over the last six months. Respondents citing “no clear benefit” dropped sharply from 30% to 18%. Meanwhile, ROI concerns surged to 33%, making financial justification the leading barrier to adoption.

Survey Methodology

The survey was conducted online in the United States and Europe between May 19 and July 18, 2025. A total of 9,350 managers and executives who participate in company strategy discussions were invited, with 689 completing the survey.
