The acquisition is centered on integrating Remade's technology and its team of four Cambridge University computer science graduates. Remade's platform provided a unified interface for the latest image and video generation models, powering millions of generations for creative teams. Their technical prowess and popular open-source models made them a natural fit. “The pace at which these four founders shipped high-quality code was impressive,” shared Burkay, co-founder of fal. “They have an exceptional understanding of how fal helps developers and they stay ahead in the fast-paced generative media space."
The union was driven by a shared focus on empowering developers within the generative media space. Remade's team recognized fal's value as a foundational platform while building their own product. “While building Remade, it was clear how valuable fal was to the generative media ecosystem,” said Christos Antonopoulos, Remade’s co-founder and CEO. He also expressed enthusiasm for fal's recently launched developer sandbox, stating, “The fal sandbox is something we’ve been waiting for as developers ourselves."
