The future of creative technology is being shaped by strategic alliances that combine specialized expertise. Adobe and Google Cloud have announced a significant expansion of their strategic partnership, uniting Adobe's decades of creative leadership with Google's advanced AI models. This collaboration is designed to usher in a new era of creative expression by integrating powerful AI directly into the tools used by millions of creators and enterprises worldwide.

Quick Intel

  • Adobe and Google Cloud are expanding their partnership to advance creative AI.

  • Google's AI models, including Gemini, Veo, and Imagen, will be integrated into Adobe's apps.

  • Access will be provided through tools like Firefly, Photoshop, Express, Premiere, and GenStudio.

  • Enterprise customers can use Adobe Firefly Foundry to customize Google's models with their own data.

  • The partnership includes a joint go-to-market strategy to promote the integrated offerings.

  • The collaboration aims to give creators more choice and flexibility within Adobe's trusted ecosystem.

Integrating Advanced AI into the Creative Workflow

Through this partnership, Adobe customers—from individual creators to large enterprises—will gain access to Google's latest AI models directly within Adobe's creative applications. This integration will enable the generation of richer images, higher-quality video, and more precise content, all within Adobe's trusted creative environment. This extends Adobe's partner model strategy, offering users greater choice.

Executive Vision for a Collaborative Future

Shantanu Narayen, chair and chief executive officer of Adobe, highlighted the shared mission, stating, “At Adobe, we’re leading the way to ignite creativity for all in the AI era. Our partnership with Google Cloud brings together Adobe’s creative DNA and Google’s AI models to empower creators and brands to push the boundaries of what’s possible."

Thomas Kurian, chief executive officer of Google Cloud, echoed this sentiment, saying, “By integrating Google’s models directly into Adobe’s trusted creative ecosystem, we’re giving everyone... the AI tools and platforms they need to dramatically speed up content creation and realize creative concepts that were previously impossible.”

Empowering Enterprise-Grade Customization

A key component for businesses is the ability to customize AI for brand-specific needs. Adobe's enterprise customers will be able to use Google's AI models on the Vertex AI platform and apply their proprietary data for customization through Adobe Firefly Foundry. This allows brands to build AI models capable of generating on-brand content at scale, with robust data commitments from Google ensuring customer data is not used to train public foundation models.

This expanded partnership, announced at Adobe MAX, represents a major consolidation of power in the creative AI space. By combining Adobe's industry-standard creative tools with Google's cutting-edge AI research, the two companies are positioning themselves to define the next generation of content creation, offering both unparalleled creative flexibility and enterprise-grade control and security.
