World Wide Technology (WWT) has introduced a comprehensive new framework designed to secure enterprise artificial intelligence deployments. Announced in collaboration with NVIDIA, the AI Readiness Model for Operational Resilience (ARMOR) provides vendor-agnostic, end-to-end guidance to help organizations accelerate AI adoption while managing security, compliance, and resilience across the entire AI lifecycle.

  • WWT unveils ARMOR, an AI security framework co-developed with NVIDIA.

  • The framework is vendor-agnostic and covers the full AI lifecycle from chip to deployment.

  • ARMOR is structured across six critical security domains, including Model Security and Data Protection.

  • It integrates with NVIDIA AI Enterprise software for scalable, secure AI operations.

  • The framework was refined with real-world feedback from The Texas A&M University System.

  • ARMOR aims to set a new standard for secure and responsible AI adoption across industries.

A Framework Built for the AI Era

As AI adoption accelerates, organizations face an expanded attack surface and complex new regulatory demands. ARMOR is designed as a holistic solution to these challenges, providing actionable guidance that embeds security from the initial hardware layer through to model deployment and operations, whether in cloud or on-premises environments.

The framework is built upon six foundational domains: Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC); Model Security; Infrastructure Security; Secure AI Operations; Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC); and Data Protection. Chris Konrad, Vice President of Global Cyber at WWT, emphasized the imperative behind ARMOR, stating, “Security and innovation can’t sit on opposite sides of the table. True resilience demands foresight, integration, and a framework that evolves with the threat landscape. The path forward is clear; no AI without ARMOR. ARMOR helps leaders answer the tough questions before adversaries or auditors do.”

Integration with NVIDIA AI and Real-World Validation

ARMOR integrates practically with NVIDIA's AI platform to deliver on its security promises. It leverages NVIDIA AI Enterprise, including NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails for application safety and NVIDIA NIM microservices for secure deployment. For infrastructure security, it utilizes NVIDIA BlueField and NVIDIA DOCA Argus to provide accelerated, AI-native threat detection and policy enforcement.

Arik Roztal, global head of AI Cybersecurity Business Development at NVIDIA, highlighted the performance needs ARMOR addresses, saying, “With AI factories scaling at an unprecedented pace, organizations need security that can keep up with the speed, complexity and sensitivity of modern AI pipelines. WWT’s ARMOR, powered by NVIDIA AI, delivers the performance and protection organizations need to confidently deploy and secure AI at scale.”

The framework's development was critically shaped by early adopters. The Texas A&M University System provided feedback that helped refine its strategic direction. Adam Mikeal, Chief Information Security Officer at Texas A&M University, confirmed its practical utility, noting, “ARMOR gives us a common language and structured approach for managing AI risk. It’s a practical solution for real-world AI security.”

Setting a New Standard for AI Security

ARMOR distinguishes itself by combining comprehensive, vendor-neutral guidance with deep alignment to standards like the NIST AI Risk Management Framework. Neil Anderson, VP and CTO of Cloud, Infrastructure, and AI Solutions at WWT, underscored its grounded approach: “What sets ARMOR apart is that it’s not just theoretical. It’s rooted in real-world applications, designed by experts, and refined through frontline engagements.”

By offering a unified structure for governance, model protection, infrastructure security, and data safety, ARMOR aims to become a benchmark for organizations seeking to innovate confidently with AI. It is now available to WWT clients and other organizations looking to build secure and resilient AI operations.
