  • Wipro acquires HARMAN’s DTS for $375M, announced August 21, 2025.

  • Over 5,600 DTS employees to join Wipro, enhancing ER&D expertise.

  • Strengthens AI-powered digital engineering in tech, industrial, aerospace, healthcare, and consumer sectors.

  • Multi-year strategic agreement with HARMAN and Samsung for joint growth.

  • DTS reported $314.5M revenue in CY24, 85% from services.

  • Stock price at $2.836, market cap $29.53B (August 25, 2025).

Strategic Acquisition Details

The acquisition bolsters Wipro’s ER&D offerings with DTS’s expertise in domain-led design, connected products, and software platforms. “Welcoming DTS into the Wipro family marks a pivotal step in our transformation journey,” said Srini Pallia, CEO of Wipro. “Their specialized engineering expertise, combined with Wipro’s consulting-led, AI-powered capabilities, will significantly enhance the value we deliver to clients.” DTS’s AI-native platforms and autonomous agent frameworks complement Wipro’s global scale, enabling faster innovation and reduced time-to-market in high-growth sectors like technology, industrial, aerospace, healthcare, and consumer industries.

Financial and Operational Impact

DTS generated $314.5M in revenue in CY24, with 85% from services, operating across 14 countries including India, the US, and South Korea. The acquisition, valued at a 1.19x price-to-sales multiple, is expected to add 280 basis points to Wipro’s FY27 revenues but may reduce EBIT margins by 50 basis points due to integration costs. “This move strengthens our software-defined, platform-centric approach,” said Srikumar Rao, Global Head of Engineering at Wipro.

Strategic Partnership and Integration

Wipro will enter a multi-year strategic agreement with HARMAN and Samsung to drive joint innovation. “This agreement unlocks the next chapter for the DTS business unit—one where it can scale faster and reach more clients,” said Christian Sobottka, CEO of HARMAN. Upon closing, DTS will integrate into Wipro’s Engineering Global Business Line, enhancing its ability to deliver complex transformation programs.
