The application of artificial intelligence in healthcare is poised for a significant acceleration through strategic technological partnerships. Verily, a precision health AI company, has announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to integrate its full AI technology stack into the Verily Pre platform. This integration will provide health system, life science, and government researchers with powerful, GPU-accelerated tools to develop and deploy AI models more efficiently.
Verily is integrating NVIDIA's AI software and hardware into its Pre precision health platform.
Key NVIDIA tools like NeMo, Parabricks, and CUDA-X are now available in the Verily Workbench.
The collaboration will power the NIH All of Us Researcher Workbench, used by 20,000 researchers.
Early results show genomic data processing accelerated from hours to minutes.
Verily researchers used the tech to build a multimodal health foundation model 10x faster.
The partnership aims to advance disease prediction and enable more personalized medicine.
Verily has integrated NVIDIA's GPU-accelerated libraries and frameworks, including NVIDIA NeMo, NVIDIA Parabricks, and NVIDIA CUDA-X Data Science, directly into its Workbench, a trusted research environment. Researchers now have access to the latest GPUs, including NVIDIA Blackwell and Hopper, which have been shown to drastically reduce processing times for complex analyses like genomic data.
This effort will have an immediate impact on major research projects. The integration will accelerate analyses within the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) All of Us Researcher Workbench, one of the world's largest genomics datasets supporting nearly 20,000 registered researchers globally. Beyond Workbench, Verily plans to make NVIDIA's accelerated microservices available across other Pre solutions for data curation and secure data exchange.
Stephen Gillett, Verily CEO, emphasized the collaboration's significance, stating, “This collaboration is an exciting moment as we partner with our customers to deliver on the promise of precision health. With NVIDIA's cutting-edge AI capabilities now available in our Pre platform, we are providing researchers with unparalleled tools to enhance the speed and efficiency of AI model development and omics analysis.”
Trent Norris, Global Industry Leader for Digital Health at NVIDIA, added, “AI is a critical tool for advancing precision health. Integrating NVIDIA's accelerated infrastructure and software stack into Verily's Pre platform will empower researchers to unlock new insights and drive faster development of AI models — ultimately leading to more personalized medicine and earlier disease prediction."
The power of this collaboration is already being demonstrated. Verily's researchers have developed the first multimodal foundation model using the NIH All of Us dataset, integrating electronic health records with genomics. By leveraging NVIDIA NeMo and H100 GPUs, they trained this complex model ten times faster than with previous approaches, showcasing the tangible acceleration this partnership brings to precision health research and the pursuit of proactive health management.
Verily is a data platform and technology company purpose-built to power AI for precision health. Verily offers AI-enabled solutions that transform multimodal health data into insights and actions that accelerate research and improve care for individuals and communities. Verily is uniquely positioned at the intersection of technology, data science, and healthcare to create tools that accelerate evidence generation, enable more personalized care, and help manage disease at a population level.
